Have you tried a 1pc while climbing? The bag would obviously not detach from the wafer, but I'm thinking it would also... That's an unfortunate thing to happen, Chelly, but I hope it doesn't discourage you from trying again.

Since your surgery was pretty recent, I would personally focus on getting healthy skin rather than longer wear times. As your skin adjus... Get a patent on that, John! =)
I use an empty toilet paper roll to press down around my stoma after putting my appliance on, but I've used q-tips in... @chelly I think we've all looked for, and found, various "alternatives" to traditional stoma surgery.
