@tony-h ... I have always loved looking at travel photos others have taken. Its interesting to see what they enjoy taking photos of and also learning what they enjoy doing on a holiday. Thank you for posting your photos! I will never have the opportunity to travel much if any, but I do feel like I've seen some very beautiful and interesting places thru your shots! The architecture alone is so beautiful in the cathedrals you visited. I found myself telling my Grand about "gargoyles" the other day when a friend offered to 3D print her a few for pencil toppers. So, I showed her your pics & zoomed in on where you may find a gargoyles.  Any chance I get with Gwen I've found she hangs on learning new things very readily. My phone wouldn't let me "heart" every photo, but please consider them all "hearted" as Gwen says! Oh, and she liked the pictures of your puppy too. She also has a few  questions for you.

1) Do they have seashells where you go and do you take them home when you find them & do they look like ours?

2) What does money look like when your in those different countries?? Do you bring some home to collect or put in your piggy bank?

She was given a 🐷 shaped piggy bank last spring with a crayola crayons pocket on the side to hold crayons in & you can colour or decorate the piggy however you like. So sometimes on walks, I'll toss a few coins on the ground ahead of us, distracting her to do so & then asking what was so shiny ahead of us. She quickly clued in to the joy of finding a couple coins & then putting them in her piggy bank to save for something special! To this day she has not been tempted to even count whats in her piggy!

I'm curious about what money looks like where you traveled too or was it all debit/credit card use?? 🤔

In Canada, Football fans... we have a brand spanking new loonie 🪙  coin out comemorating the sport.

Again, Thank you Tony for such great photos. Oh, and, lol, honorable mention goes to... Your Dog!! There is something so enduring about seeing a big dog, (all dogs really) carting around a favorite stuffy! So cute!

@chelly Yes, clear(er) air this morning. I was able to get the windows open for a little bit, but it's supposed to get smokey again tomorrow.

It's "easy" to protect my lungs, but I find that my eyes really hate being exposed to this smoke.

Be safe!

Hot, hot, hot! We have been hitting so close to 100°f most days even sneaking over it.  For a good month, its been so hot & very dry.  I think the cactuses in the garden are enjoying this kind of heat more then anything we are trying to grow. I don't follow humidity levels very much, mostly bcuz when you have dogs you need to go outdoors anyways and dogs need to walk or be outside to do their doo!  We've had a few days were there was no ignoring the humidity out there!!! Ugh!

My appologies to all reaping the rewards of wild fires! That smoke is AWFUL & hard on the lungs. Wear a mask if need be or just stay indoors & re-spring-clean if your bored or start a new hobby you've been thinking about trying, we have lots of very crafty people in our midst! .

We are presently dealing with 2 🔥 fires about 20 min. from us but last I heard, they are both  "held"... but the smoke! Ugh! Yesterday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to here & there overnight we have had thunder storms & dry lightening.  Its not even worth mentioning the spot of rain we had, but I guess honorable mentions are in order for it even trying to rain. I think it evaporates before it hits the ground. Our grass that my son has worked so hard on to  keep lush & green, is now a short hay field. The strong grasses poke your feet walking on it  if your in thongs or "sandals" as Gwen says, "bcuz thongs are supposed to be a sort of underpants Munga!" How she knows that, I'm not sure, but it seems she doesn't miss a beat!

Our Tomatoes are growing incredibly this year! Gwen & I have  planted 25 plants of various varieties & they are all loaded!! I credit that to giving up on all the newbies on the internet saying to PINCH this off and REMOVE that & ... Blah Blah blah! . Ive been there done that but never again. During the years following those instructions I had a minimal amount of Tomatoes & could only share with 1 or 2 neighbours, this year it'll be like it used to be those who would like some can have some. Our cucumbers are growing really well as are the squash plants & the grapes 🍇  too.  It seems my efforts to keep that Raccoon out of my garden have paid off! We have a boat load of grapes growing from only the one vine & after 4 years trying to banish that rascally Raccoon from the garden, I think we've done it!!! (Knock on wood ofcourse! Lol!) The grapes are typically a very sweet grape, I'm just not sure of the variety...lol,  except green, so please don't ask! Lolol!

***** Stay in, Stay cool and Stay hydrated! Remember... as we age our bodies produce different symptoms then the normal to all sorts of illnesses, So Stay alert of that too.

@veganostomy... Hello Eric!!  My eyes are annoyed by the smoke and even dry heat as well. You may want to see what yoyr eye doctor recommends & get some Lubricating Eye Drops for them avoiding drops that are for allergies as that's a whole other story.  I need a prescription bottle of drops because I have a dry spot on one eye & its amazing how the eye feels with the correct drops in it/ them in smokey conditions.
