In a few days, my apartment complex will be shutting the water off for a few hours. So i'm  needing sime clever ideas of how I can empty until they get the water back on. I do rinse but I may have to not rinse for that day. Just until they can get the water back on. So where can I put the poop?If I can't flush it and what can I empty it in that can be disposable? And of any ideas how i can rinse. I do have bottled water but what to put the dirty rinse water  it in.

Chelly, is it possible to continue to flush if you supply your own water? If they’re turning the water off, that just means your toilet doesn’t have its regular source of water. But if you have your own water source, like a full bathtub? So the first time you flush with the water turned off, the toilet will flush properly, but it won’t replenish the water for the next flush. If you take the top off the toilet tank, you should be able to fill it with water for the next flush, and so on. Fill everything you can with water - the tub, the sinks, containers. For a few hours, you should be fine. Good luck.

One idea might be to use a small bucket lined with smaller garbage bags. Empty into that, then close off the bag and dispose when you can.

But if only for a few hours, I like Laurie's suggestion! If your toilets are still able to drain, it doesn't take much poured water (the tub idea is perfect) to get it to "flush".
