Regarding the copy-paste issue, on Brave Browser (for iOS), if I copy a link from crohnsforum by selecting “share”, then “copy” from within the browser’s buttons, I can’t paste the link to the VO forum (which is open on safari), while pasting is doable with the Apple Notes app or crohnsforum without any problems. The same limitation applies to Safari as well—neither browser allows pasting when using Share → Copy on the VO forum. However, the problem doesn't happen if I instead long-press the Crohnsforum page from within the site and select "Copy Link."

Additionally, if I select the webpage link directly from the bar and copy it, I can paste it to the VO forum. It appears the Share → Copy route specifically doesn't work on the VO forum, on both browsers. This isn’t specific to crohnsforum pages, but to other websites (e.g., veganostomy, PubMed) as well.

I really appreciate the details. I don't have an iOS device, but tried the Share -> Copy through Brave on Android, and was able to successfully paste a link (from Pubmed) to the reply box on this forum.

I'm not sure if iOS is implementing Share -> Copy differently than Android (or Linux), but I may need to look into this further as that sounds like an annoying thing to be dealing with!

On the other hand, I could only wish there were an online platform for ostomates seeking deeper connections that cares about privacy, decency, and authenticity as you and your forum have exemplified.

With so many minority groups overlapping (ostomate + privacy aware + seeking out a partner), I think the demographic would be incredibly small, unfortunately.

My only real hope for the internet is a mass awakening and rejection of the direction we are heading. That said, I think we can all find benefits of unplugging and simply living offline more.

Just your friendly neighbourhood ostomate.
