As you’ve figured out not all products work well for everyone. That’s why there so many companies making slightly different products that do the same thing. Trial and error with sample products. If a company won’t send free samples, not interested in trying your line. Eakin seals work best for me so some time I need a remover pad. I don’t know that one product is different than the other. It’s pad size that’s different. If I’m changing appliance after a shower, I don’t use remover. If not, I use a free sample if necessary. I have to be very careful the remover is off the skin before using a barrier wipe. I recommend use what’s free when necessary. Agree!!! Both. Welcome, Msbscrn! Thanks for sharing that advice :) Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Adhesive removers are a new edition to my supply drawer, I never used until I was give a sample by my nurse. Now taking the wafer of with out would make me shudder. on the issue of removing residue most of it comes of in the shower with gentle cleaning. I recently posted about having bother with a granuloma was given Convatec orabase protective paste.
