This may not be everybody's cup of tea but if you like numbers this might be for you. The Australian government publishes data on its national Stoma Appliance Scheme utilisation and expenditure data. This is available on the Department of Health's website in 2 files that required some non trivial mangling (Pandas). It covers more than 3,500 product items in about 30 categories. It provides an interesting perspective on the community utilisation of different products - at least I thought it was interesting. Obviously have no idea if this is representative for other countries. It might also be a good starting point, if you're looking for alternative products in a particular category. Here's the link to the Google sheets: Analysis of Australian Ostomy Utilisation The data is sorted in descending order per subgroup based on the estimated number of users ie starting with most popular product per subgroup. Have fun! Absolutely fascinating! Thank you so much for sharing that! It's pretty interesting to see skin cleansing wipes being the most popular item (even though completely unnecessary)! This has some pretty amazing details! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. I love things like this - really interesting. Thank you! Colostomy 4/30/18.
