Beautiful morning here , blues skies and 8C ,makes you feel good to be alive @tony-h Well I am back in the land of ice and snow.🥶 I am shocked at the height of some of the snowdrifts and piles in parking lots. I guess it was a lot worse a few weeks ago than it is now. There was blowing snow and a few whiteouts on the 401 during our drive home from Toronto on Saturday, so winter is still very much in charge here. It is -5C in SW Ontario currently, getting up to a balmy 2C later today. Wednesday is looking much better with a forecast of 13C but rainy. Hopefully that will melt some of the snow. Laurie Just a semicolon Here in Florida it's 26 C or 79 F. Nice sunshiny weather. Bill Had a big wind storm Friday , Saturday and Sunday blowing sand and dirt causing air quality alerts . But right now 58°F and sunny looking for low 70's today . To bad it dosen't stay this way all year Lol Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis Snowing again, but a cousin from out of state visited here for several days, and the weather was lovely throughout. I hadn’t seen him in years and we had a wonderful time. Today he flew out about a half-hour ago, just ahead of a winter storm warning! Perfect timing! Colostomy 4/30/18. Well, all that snow we got has now become... a lot of rain... 🤣 Next Wednesday we should see +12C, and because of the time change, it'll be light well after dinner! 🤩 Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. dull day here but its quite mild , 10C , wife went in for a swim but I declined , even in neoprene I still like a little sun before I brave our cold harbour water , water temp was 9C according to the expert swimmers with their floating thermometers . Good Morning all To all my Canadian friends. I'm the opposite of you with all your rain and snow although I do like seeing rain and snow. Not sure i could survive to long in it Lol. Usually dry here. Tony our weather isn't to far apart today from yours and here in the Desert of Southern California US . Actually looking for small bit of rain today but windy with high of 64° F . Have to say I'd agree with ya on passing on the swim. To cold for me too Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis @llholiday ... sorry for my absence here. I have been reading along & I had a few larger struggles then in the past. I love reading too. My eye issues have not allowed me to read much in the last several years & I miss it. I love the feel of a book in my hands and the sound of a turning page. Being that my eyes suffer from being on screen, there's no way I could use one to read a book. I have a growing row of novels to read in hopes my eyes will improve more. Would you consider telling us about your experience as an author & about your book? I too am a published author. Our temps warmed up to anywhere from 2°c to 6 °c in the daytime but at night as cool as -8°c. We are expecting snow again for 5 days next week. Yahoo, not, lol.... I'm afraid my plants that are enjoying peeking out of the soil showing the promise from these nicer temps may cringe & faint in the snow...ugh. I think I'll be repurposing Amazon boxes to shelter them. Any other ideas to protect early plants like my tulips & daffodils would be appreciated. I don't normally see them until the end of March. Linda Walked up to the store to get groceries while the sun was out. It was hovering around freezing, but I came back nearly sweating! Next weekend is supposed to be 12 or 13C, which I'm sure will have many of us in shorts 🤣 🤣 Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. @dlkfiretruck I don’t mind the snow and cold, except for driving when the snow gets deep or slippery. My writing is about American Indians/Native Americans in northeastern Minnesota, some historical and some contemporary, some fiction and some nonfiction, poetry, essays, odds and ends …. Colostomy 4/30/18. Dry and mild today 15C and overcast ,nice day for getting my 5000 steps in 😁 Wow! Big temperature shift in the past week! We are expecting a high of 10C with highs of 17C on Friday. Time to start my tomato seeds indoors. It is interesting that this thread is still going strong after a month. I guess that means that although we don’t have many ostomy issues to talk about right now, we still want to stay connected. We’re a strong community.💪🏻 Laurie Just a semicolon bright and sunny here but with a cold easterly wind 5C
