Happy Birthday to me!! Every year on my birthday I reflect inward and thank Squeaky for all these years I almost did not get. I came so close to dying in 2018. The Doctor was surprised I made it through surgery and if my hubby hadn’t called the ambulance, I probably would have died of sepsis, since my colon was perforated in two spots and just leaking into my body.  So Squeaky's birthday in June is a big day for me, but I also think about how lucky I am on my birthday as well.  I've always loved my birthday and so far now Squeaky has given me 7 more that I might not have gotten. I hope you are all doing well today. ❤️ -Liza I literally just send you a p.m. asking you if it was okay to announce your birthday in the lounge! Lol! For some reason birthday & anniversaries other dates never transferred over on to my new phone so I wasnt sure if i had your date correct. . . So... HaPpY HaPpY BiRtHdAy to you! What will you be doing to celebrate your special day?! If you go to a restaurant, have a lobster for me please!!  Linda Liza, your story is very sobering. It’s amazing what some of us have survived. So glad you did! Yes, I hope you have a wonderful celebration, and I agree with Linda - lobster is in order! But only if that agrees with your system, otherwise cake! I often reflect on how lucky I am to have this borrowed time, and whenever I feel like I'm taking it for granted, I always reflect back to how things were before my surgery.  Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. a belated Happy Birthday Liza , hope you had a lovely day , and thanks to Squeaky for making it possible , I feel the same about Igor , my best buddy through all kinds of weather Igor was one of my surgeons and a favourite character from a Terry Pratchett book so it seemed appropriate.
