Beautiful sunny day today but kind of chilly. It's night now and getting very cold again. The smell of fire fills the air and I can't figure out if it's the Canadian wildfires blowing in or someone that has a fire going in the area.

I can't believe it's already November, but hey, this just means we are that much closer to summer again.

Wind is all I can say. Days and days of strong wind. We got a warning about possible power outages, too... but it's been between 5 and 10 C, so it could be worse! LOL

OK, so I was complaining about being hot this summer. I'm going to tell you what...im freezing!!! It's in the 30's here on lake Erie. Frost on things outside in the mornings.  A cold that goes right through your bones.

@tony-h Let's trade! It's 6C now, and I would give a colon to get back to 15C! 🤣

Hi everybody

Wish we could have just a little of the weather some of you are having . We've been having 90° high and lows in the 60's° . I'm looking for some cooler days bout now . Camping at the lake is over for the year so no place to run to for cooler weather  Lol

Have a good day everybody

Well, if you want slush and icy walkways, I'd be happy to ship some down to you! LOL

Yes, we had our first snow. Not terrible, but it's still on the ground after several days... time to begrudgingly dig up my toque. 🤣

@veganostomy Yuck! Snow and slippery roads today, and it’s not even the middle of November yet. Too slushy and slippery to go for a walk. ☃️ Normal temperatures are returning later this week. I have been very busy. We moved, and are still unpacking (I swear I am never moving again!). We also have to move my 91 year old father. He had a series of falls and has been in hospital for the past month; just waiting to see where he can go for long term care. Caring for elderly parents is such a busy time. I’m lucky I have one brother nearby who can help me.

Snow yesterday and this morning. Frigid cold out there. Takes your breath away when out walking in it. Making my hand exzema act up too. Not fun having to take the garbage out to the dumpster either.

You have really been a busy lady. Caretaking is hard work too. God bless you for doing that as not too many do these days.

Lol Eric I'd like to see it but I probably couldn't take it more than a day or so . Lol

Chelly and Tigerlily . I don't think I could take that cold for to long . People here actually bet on when the first snow will happen in the mountains around us .

Tony i hope you stay safe with that weather there sounds pretty rough . For me I guess its the old saying be careful what you wish for . We are expecting up to as much as 1.8" of rain tomorrow . I know that dosen't sound like much to most of you but for us here in the Desert a quarter of an inch to fast can be a flooding problem . We are fine where we are but alot of the valley could be in for some flooding . But then again thats what the weather people say . And their only right about half the time Lol . Stay safe everybody winter is coming .

Thanks Robert ,all safe here that last storm only skimmed us , had a lot of flooding but we are in a well drained area so no problems ,

Took down all the dangerous trees near the house so that's great coming in to stormy weather ,

12C and calm

Not that it will help now that you've already moved all your stuff, but I've been reading books (and listening to audiobooks) about minimalism, decluttering, etc., and it would have come in handy for you I'm sure! LOL

We also have to move my 91 year old father. He had a series of falls and has been in hospital for the past month; just waiting to see where he can go for long term care. Caring for elderly parents is such a busy time.

No doubt. I'm sorry to hear that he's had falls, those are no joke at his age. Long term care would benefit him, especially since he'd be given opportunities to socialize.

I had to run an errand yesterday by bike, uphill the entire way for 2-3km with 35km/h headwinds! I swear my effort was strong despite feeling like I wasn't moving!

We had snow last night, probably 5cm worth. Looks to be all melted by mid-afternoon, so that's good! 🤗

I'd love to get some sun, even if it's cold... I have solar-powered things that aren't charging at all because it's been so dreary these past few weeks. And it's depressing looking outside to see grey. 😫
