Joint pain is really debilitating,  I have good days and bad days but only take a mix of codeine and paracetamol (Tylenol) , trying to get back to see a rheumatologist but its hard enough to get an appointment,

Anyway hope the pain eases out a little Chelly

For an October weekend, we were completely spoiled with clear, blue skies and temps in the mid 25C! It's all downhill from here! 🤣

Hello all, 58 degrees here with 54 % humidity. My kind of weather, sunny, cooler but not cold or freezing. Nice jacket weather  and good sleeping weather.

It got cold overnight! Frost warnings in my area, and it was 5C when I went to bed. 😱

  • Much cooler weather here. They turned our air off in the building and have now turned heat on. We have our own controls in each apartment for temperature but I live upstairs and its very hot and stuffy due to the downstairs people turning on thier heat even though I have mine off.  Needless to say im leaving windows open to get air to breathe. Ive heard from others that us on the upstairs floor don't even need to turn our heat on in the winter. Oh boy, this will be quite the experience. Manager brought me a fan today to put in my window.

Oh my 48 degrees out there and raining. The forecast looks as if we may not get anymore warm weather. Yesterday was boiling in my place.

I see the leaves are finally starting to change on the trees.

We had a massive thunderstorm last night... I went to let the dog out, and in the distance the sky turned from black (dark) to bright white... I didn't hear a boom, but I assume a transformer blew up somewhere.

It's been getting cold, and the leaves are falling like crazy around here.

It is getting cold here. I had to scrape my windows last week. I’m not ready for winter.

on a completely unrelated note, Eric, are you a baseball fan?  I just watched the heartbreaking game 7 of the ALCS, where Toronto beat my Mariners for a place in the World Series. 😢

I hope everyone has been doing well. I recently switched to a light convex rather than a deep convex. I’m still having the same issues, but a little less pain. My ostomy nurse put a Hollister bag on me when I went in a couple weeks ago. It worked better than last time I tried one. I like the wafer, but really dislike the bag. Nothing compares to the coloplast bag.

Nice fresh Autumn day , leaves everywhere , 14c with lots of sunshine , doctor got my xrays back , hips and hands/wrists , said there was some wear and tear but no osteoarthritis , cant understand it , my hands esp my thumb joints are giving me a lot of pain and the hip is just going from under me , the hip i can understand as my L3 is bulging and a rheumatologist said that's what was causing the pain , my GP is sending me to a pain clinic , but i think despite all my colon being gone the UC is still causing me joint problems , anyway life goes on and anyday you can get out of bed is a good one ,

finally seem to be shaking off the after effects of the latest covid  strain , it really lingered esp with sinus and headaches , so i would advise anyone to get the flu and covid boosters , i missed mine in the spring and got my first experience of covid , i can imagine how bad it must have been before the vaccines , anyway hope everyone is doing a little better

Good Morning all

Tony sorry to hear you having all the pain . Hope it gets better for you soon . Wish we would get all the colors from trees changing here but we don't have all those kinda trees around here . Lol

SqueakyandLiza don't have to worry bout scraping ice here . But was up at the Lake last weekend and did get frost on everything.  Got down to 28° cooling off up there finally getting in the low 60'S at home . Time to open windows and let fresh air in . 2 more weekends and we bring trailer home and summer (weekends) at the Lake will be over till May .

Eric I wish we would get thunderstorms here like you get there but that dosen't happen very often here . Ha we would have flooding problems if it did .

Chelly our air here still on . Early morning I can open windows then close em up hold in the cool air . Heater wont happen here for awhile . Although we have been using the heater at the Lake in the trailer .

Have a Great Day everybody

Hello, big thunderstorm and lightning here at the moment with high winds. I made a walk to the store earlier before all this happened. Looks like the next 2 days will be rainy.

Tony , I hope you get better soon. My sympathy goes out to you. Pain is not one bit good.

Robert a trailer on the lake sounds gorgeous!!! Enjoy your last days of the season there.

I read that Ottawa set a record this past weekend... something like 26C! I could use that here... it sits at 12C in the middle of the day :(

I played when I was younger, but don't really watch sports anymore. I did try to watch the game a few days ago, but the commercials drove me crazy enough to stop. LOL My parents are big fans, so they've been letting me know how the Jays are doing. I may watch the World Series, since I remember the excitement when they won all those years ago! It really depends on how tolerant I am of the advertising. 🤣

There was a company, not sure that they're still around, but they sold couplings for 2pc systems that allowed you to mix and match appliances between brands. So, a Coloplast bag would work on a Hollister wafer, etc. That would be cool if this was still an option as I'm sure many of us would want to mix-and-match to find the most ideal system for their needs.

@veganostomy that sounds great about the mix and match parts and pieces if they can get that done. Right now i have a hollister belt on a convatec pouch.

I've been wanting to ask you if the Canadian wildfires are still going? I've had my window open lately because its been too warm up here on my floor from the people downstairs jacking up thier heat and I've been smelling fire smells here in Ohio across the lake from Canada.

Our weather here is definitely autumn now colder and last night I saw snow flakes when I took out my garbage but very light ones and only lasted a few minutes.

I'm sure they are somewhere, but not to the extent that the air quality where I live has been affected!

It's been a typical October this week... cool, some sun, lots of leaves! LOL Night temperatures have been reaching, or dipping below, zero. 😱
