I had my first blow out last night.  😣 thank goodness the nasty itch woke me up and it didn't explode till i made it to the bathroom.   Does this make me official now?????  Lol

Hey Raine, At least this was in bed.  Not out during the day-  now got to re-think of what to have on hand either way...  You will get the hang of it.

Yes, your are one of us!!!!!!!!!  It is a beautiful world at times huh? :-)  Just keep that smile-it is the only way to go..

Raine...oh dear! Welcome to the "smudge club!"  I have had it happen in bed more times then you can imagine.  Not to mention a drastic disaster after a beautiful evening out to ruin the mood.  Always be prepared, and never be left hanging.  Something about the way you said this so reminded me of my first blow out. Not fun. But you get through them every single time and can eventually laugh at how you dealt with it. Just Saturday morning I too was rudely awakened very early in the AM. I was not happy, but what I did after surprised me. I took five bucks and put it in my piggy bank! I was laughing and actually decided I deserved to get paid for that mess. So I paid myself. I still am laughing at the fact that I got through that mess.  Congratulations!  Your a true survivor even more so.

Argh! I remember those days.

Interestingly enough, since I've been using the Ceraplus wafers by Hollister, I have not once had a blowout during sleep (that I can recall). Before, it happened at least a few times a month.

I hope that's the first and last time for you, Raine!

Had my stoma for just over a month now.had three or four leakage which were controllable but early Saturday morning had a full on explosion.

Not a pleasant thing to wake up to at 4.30 am.

Maybe not a 4:30am thing, but I did write about my 6:30am experience once ;)
