Raine...oh dear! Welcome to the "smudge club!" I have had it happen in bed more times then you can imagine. Not to mention a drastic disaster after a beautiful evening out to ruin the mood. Always be prepared, and never be left hanging. Something about the way you said this so reminded me of my first blow out. Not fun. But you get through them every single time and can eventually laugh at how you dealt with it. Just Saturday morning I too was rudely awakened very early in the AM. I was not happy, but what I did after surprised me. I took five bucks and put it in my piggy bank! I was laughing and actually decided I deserved to get paid for that mess. So I paid myself. I still am laughing at the fact that I got through that mess. Congratulations! Your a true survivor even more so. Linda Linda Yep, part of the territory. Blow out is the only way to describe it! UC since 2002, subtotal colectomy Dec. 2016, proctolectomy Nov. 2018. Argh! Before, it happened at least a few times a month. I hope that's the first and last time for you, Raine! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Had my stoma for just over a month now.had three or four leakage which were controllable but early Saturday morning had a full on explosion.
