Marcie no I have never watched that show yet . We usually go to bed kinda early and I go to sleep but then I am up 2-3 times a night to take care of Norman then I just toss n turn trying to go back to sleep . Then up early to get Norma off to work . Oh well is what it is . 

tape it.. :-) But try to rest after Norman wakes up.. Think if the nice things of nature...  Something with ease.. start off again sleeping on a different side.. OR punch him one!! 

HI, I decided to take the day off from infusion yesterday.  3 times a week is really getting to me!  Just needed 3 days off.........  I went to lunch with my friend and it was great!!  cold out  but I was in a place other than home and infusion..:-)  Lunch as in an real nice place and the food was wonderful.  We went shopping and yes I spent some money. Got a plaid dress. IT is kinda hard to dress for success for infusions when I have a power port. 

On the way home I decided to get gas.  That was a merry go-around.. I should have emptied at the  gas station but decided to go for it.. That was a dumb move. When I got home Nellie went into over time.. As I emptied 2 times before my trip home thought she was done with.   So came home and had a leak. I was burning skin wise.  So another dress for Nellie.. This made me mad as this was her 4th dress in 24 hours.  let me explain....  I tried the new brava procective seals that seal chocked Nellie, so a change within 4 hours.  Then When I smacked on a new dress Nellie gave out a good spit  and not knowing this, I slapped on her dress, 2 hours later burning itching. so put on another dress. Then as the above of my outing.. another dress. GeZeZZZZZZZZZZ!! I slept in until1:00 p.m. today (I love to sleep) even if Nellie needs attention-I just snuggle up in my electric blanket and Mr. Poo and I, are off to sleep with no worries of having to get up and dress and go to infusion until Friday. :-) I see from my blood work I will need more Magzsuim -sp- as always. tomorrow. I even went not having those 2 extra bags for 3 weeks straight-thought that I was coming out it. NOPE! 

I hope those Gattex people get their act straight.. As of now, I am not impressed with  them at all!! I want a life back even if it is half assed........... And the price is right for us. Like 5 dollars per month. 

But I had a great day off!!!!!!!!! :-) :-) :-) !!!!!!!!!!  These outings are teaching me how to deal with Nellie and her mood swings.  such a brat!!!!!!!!! 

But all in all it was a really nice day off. :-)

Sounds like a rotten day to me. Get some rest. Hope things go smoother soon !!

All and all,, it was a great day!! I had 3 days off from infusion and got a life outside of that and home.. :-) IT was MY mistake not to EMPTY at the gas station.. Add I always goof up on which side the gas tank is.. So it was rather comical for others to watch me move my SUV around and around and getting no where.. But I figured it out. :-)

Kathy, at least you are getting fresh air.. I am 68, and I now know what old ladies bend over in the garden.. Hard getting up-- then again this postion is hard on the back-so it is a no no-   Love the horse idea, lucky you to be able to be around them. I am sure that u miss riding much.. So much taken away from you-sorry. Ya, I plan on painting a bedroom.. Wrong pro-noun tho... My son will do it.. Tom (my husband) as men, don't like change.. (as we sleep in different rooms as of my 6 months away and surgery) I get the nice master bed room and master bathroom to myself.. :-) We both need out sleep-and respect it dearly.  But he can hear me if needed, and always checks on me. This is the room I want to paint.  He says "well I am the one sleeping in that room, why paint it?"  It is yellow, and I hate it now.. Marcie say it is time for a change.. So, I know what is to come with subject,  He will be Mr. Grumpy etc... Well, been there many times, I surived and so will he.. :-) Paint is cheep I say--but he knows that a bed spread and window treatments will come along etc.. I will  just (as I call it) stupid vise.......... :-) The quieter I am, the happier Tom will be.  Been married for 47 years now, I know the routine............... not looking forward to it, but woman has to do what she has to do.. right? Hit the wine!!!!!!!!!!!

Bathroom habits..  As we Ostomates are subject to many infections.. And the Flu season is on the MAJOR headlines.. I have a suggestion that I always use in public Bathrooms:

After performing our necessary duties, take a paper towel and use this to turn ON the faucet. Then use a clean paper towel, dry your hands, and use this towel to turn OFF the faucet. OR you may include to use a towel to get the heck out of there.. Knobs are full of germs!! 

Here in Ct. last week 11 people died of the flu.  This week 12 people died of the flu.  This is a small state..  In 10 weeks, 52 people have died of this flu.. Be well and stay well Always!! Marcie.

AS for me, rehab continues. Getting stronger and my balance is improving. My balance has been bad because two years ago I had my left foot fused. My arthritis made my left foot twist in and roll over on the side so I had to have it fixed or lose it. And I'm not into losing appendages. Now the only problem with it is that I don't have any balance sensors in that foot and it is a size eight and a half and my other foot is a 10 which makes shoe shopping extra fun. But rehab is helping my balance along which hopefully will keep you from falling down. I am moving forward on jumping through the Hoops to get onto an insulin pump looks like it will take a couple of months to get through all of them but it will be a good Improvement

Hi Barb.. I get fun feet also. I have Nuphophy that hit both feet more an more these days.  Like walking on nothing and no feelings.. They feel like huge stumps and I could walk on glass and not even know it.. I am not diabetic tho-- They just feel numb and when I get the message and I plan a different day.. This happens when I have a busy day planned ahead..  And don't want to injure myself.. I have it all the time, some days are worse than others. Because of the level, I don't tell anyone at the hospital, so they will unlock that stupid loud buzzer on my hospital bed.. Drives me crazy!!!!!! But I just don't let this in my mind... no worries........ nothing they can do about it either.  So why worry?????? have a great day..

Yup, Barb, one step forward and swing the other into place!!!!!!!! :-) and do the hokey pokie and turn yourself around and do it all over again.........  Dance your self right out of there! 

Wish I could . In modern Baltimore,  they took out the paper towels and put in electrical blowers - hand dryers. In fact, I -95  reststops  have the same problem. 

Solutions include spray Lysol or toilet paper from the stall.

Real solution is to simply WASH YOUR HANDS RELIGIOUSLY.  Soap is an option. 

Use toilet paper.. I have done this.   Those public rest rooms r a hazard !!!  It takes time to montor your new habits of going this way, but it comes in time..  Or use your wrist when turning on the water..  :-)  Got to watch out for teenagers and little kids. They just don't get this seriously --but they will grow up in this fashion..  ??? (God watches over them)  Were on our own on this subject.. 

Good 'ol Rt. 95 I call it the morgre.  -sp- Driven it to many times.. And lived to tell about it.. :-)

Hey Eric . I watched your video on shaving we talked about this in a thread before I believe .  I do get hair there but not enough to worry about to much so I just shave it with my razor every other time or so . But now about the nebulizer I would try one but what you mean no Man Blue ???? Lol JK . Good video though .

Hey John one thing about the dog driving for ye . You wouldn't have to worry about him talking to much ! And no problem with a blue room any tree will do ....
