It's rough out there, but that's why we need to stick together.

Conforming to the gills leaves me breathless . I am unique and so are you. If I hide and/or squelch my quality till it dissappears, I am just destroying myself.

If I squelch you and your quality/talent , I  would be destroying you.

The Communists tried it and the Facists tried it and the............. tried it, too.

Did they succeed?

My home has an oil painting of a flower pot that my mother decided to make.

If she would have listened to the naysayers,  my home would be so much less nice. And by seeing the painting, I see a depth that is not apparent on the surface. Besides , it's a reminder of my mother and her grit.

We all are members of the ostomates tribe. We all have what to contribute to the betterment of our tribe. Not by conforming to the society at large, because they will not understand us until they stand in our shoes.

We can be a big help to the newbies. If only to tell them that they should sit on the toilet backwards. Then, you don't splatter and mess up your pants , and then feel disgusted with your new situation.

Sorry,  but I am an ostomate  and a one percenter and I cannot change either. And I thank God that I live in the USA, so that I don't have to.

(I think Canadians have it good, too.)

Am I making sense to you?

Yes you are Z.!!!!!!! I agree with you 100 % ......... I have always felt that we are one.. Different race, different religion, we remain only of the human race.. which = one within each others grace of acceptance.. I find here at this blog we all have something in common. This has brought my feelings of my life time, of love to one another and I am grateful and thankful at last to be part of this human race that we have here. Now if it this could happen on the outside of this blog and our homes-what a wonderful world it would be.

To see this between us all, makes life so different and a life that I have ruled myself with. I am grateful to have you all as my friends and the support we give to each other..

What history has been and what may be ahead, let us remain one another's support and the love goes on to the outside for those who cant or wont see for any reason of their choice, be there for them someday.. M.

Robert, these subjects seem to have gotten dropped after a very short period of time. I still think it would be a fun thing to have. And I'm still open so if anyone has any more ideas for a pen for example the rose idea or something else send them to me and I'll see what I can get going Barbara

You guys know that I am coming right????? You can have my bacon Robert...

How about some kids pancakes with M&M's??????? Funny, Tom used to go out for breakfast while I slept in.. He decided to order a kids breakfast as he was not that hungry.. Surprise!! M&M's pancakes.. He was so embarrassed.. Everyone was looking at him.. :-) and another time, when the kids were real young, we would say "oh thats Mr. Hot don't eat that yet"  And one time he was in Europe for business, and bit into his meal and said "oh that's Mr. Hot!!"  What a laugh he got!! And for over 40 years it was always a statement RE: memos etc.  Hey Mr. Hot, how r u doing? :-) Ohhhhhhh the high I.Q.  :-)

Mmm, breakfast lately is 2 eggs scrambled with a bit of milk, season to taste. Microwave 45 seconds, stir, add cheese and pre-cooked sausage cut up. Microwave 45 seconds or until eggs are set.

Nancy, Barb is in re-hab. She has been rather ill.. In re-hab one must prove that they are functional in the kitchen. So, she baked a nice cake and had fun with it.

I think she is doing well, and will be home sooner than she thinks. She is a fun person and has her personality back again.. IF I were in her shoes, and had to prove function in the kitchen, I think I would do the same thing.. Got to have fun with our acceptance of our stomas.. Got it?? Have a nice day-- :0(

Yes, the microwave does make the eggs fluffy.. Omelets do great too.. No burning.. I heat up tomatoes, onions, etc.  first,  put on top eggs after they are somewhat heated put in middle of omelet and flip the omelet --hummmmmmmm I know what  I am having for lunch tomorrow..
