Part of using this type bottle is increasing the pressure when squeezed harder to somewhat acting like hose. Another is to remove the output around stoma. When I direct the nozzle to different parts of the pouch it’s like having a fresh pouch again by using this method,I then will the reapply the oil again. Get feeling better Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis I too rinse every time I empty my pouch and I have never had an issue of any kind. I rinse until it is clean. I use tape water with a bit of mouth wash for oder protection. I have been doing this since my surgery 14 months ago. Hi Elaine . Sounds like you and I do about the same thing .
