Which suture kit do I need? Do I suture the end of the stoma and loop the thread around the catheter? I would appreciate any advice. I think that type of advice is beyond the scope of this forum, although, I'm surprised that you were not given any guidance. When a foley catheter was used to relieve my blockage (by a doctor in the hospital), no sutures were needed, and I'm not even sure why they would be if the catheter is being used to relieve a semi-blockage. Do you have a stoma nurse at the hospital you were discharged from that you can seek some instructions from? That might be the safest bet. I was told to apply a foley catheter for a semi-blockage of an ileostomy. I had my 4th revision in Feb.2022. I will have my 5th shortly. In the meantime, I have to use a foley.I will probably use the
