Have you used this product to dispose of your soiled ostomy bag? Share your experience. [caption id="attachment_4386" align="alignnone" width="800"] Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. I have some of my clients who find these bags very handy for when they travel. As you said, cost can become an issue if their insurance will not cover. In these situations they would use them only for outside the house but at home may use regular ziplocs. A couple of my clients even use a Diaper Genie for disposal without issue. We used a Diaper Genie with our kid's diapers, and it could certainly work for ostomy supplies. But I think it would also come with it's own cost/space/plastic waste concerns. I'm glad that we have more than a few options! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. I have been using BOS Amazing Odor-sealing disposal bags. Found at Amazon.com. One listing is 11.90 for 90 bags (I find the small bag adequate). That works out to $.13/ea US which isn't too prohibitive. These bags contain odor very well. I have loved them, if one canlove a bag of old poop. Severe rheumatoid arthritis, spondoloarthropy, polymyalgia rhumatica, type 1 diabetic, IBS and finally, emergency diverticulitis surgery, colon removed Stella born Jan. 27, 2017. 6 bouts of c-diff, failed fecal transplant. Complete colonectomy and ileostomy July 30, 2018. ENOUGH!! That's great! Thanks for sharing! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. I love these bags thank you for reviewing them That's great to hear, Shazzon! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. I was sent a similar product thru either Hollister or Coloplast...Hollister I think, anyways, the bags are blue and have the same type zipper. Thick and I so wish I had them the day I had to change my pouch over on a road trip. I also know that the day I wrapper my contents in an emergency, empty or bust situation, having these bags would have been so much easier then tying what I had in output in layers of thin dog scoop bags and then securing it for further travel to take home and dispose of safely!!! I was sent samples after telling the company my experience and asking what they had in case of that situation. Give the two a call and find out who it is.  Linda Here's something interesting I just saw on the parthenoninc.com site: Attiva Flushable Ostomy Pouch Liners! https://parthenoninc.com/attiva-flushable-ostomy-pouch-liners-fpl-1-regular-size-100-bx/ Maybe Eric can get hold of a sample and let us know how it works out. Loop ileostomy March 11, 2020. Thanks for pointing that out, Ken! I do have a feeling that they are not as flushable as advertised. See this post: https://www.veganostomy.ca/are-pouch-liner-flushable/ Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Can a person that doesn't need a convex flange use one anyway or can it cause problems .I don’t need one but I like them and someone told me that I shouldn’t use them .Is this true ?Again I think I am in the wrong forum @shazzon Which product are you referring to, Shazzon?
