Hey folks, it’s been a hard road thes passed few weeks. I have been in hospital for 5 weeks. I am getting fed by a tube. I will update ye all better soon . Thank you all for the kind words and you support 👍👍 ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns @john68 ... well, John, that's not good at all, but at the same time I'm so grateful we have the knowledge in this world to do these things & to help sustain our wretched bodies. My year in hospital back in 08/09 made me ever so grateful for medical intervention! John, if it gets too much to communicate here for you, as being a petient is also a very busy time even just laying in bed! Lol, betwen temps taken & BP & Blood Work... ect. , as a patient, we should get paid to be there! Lol! Have you considered to ask you family to text as you dictate to them how things are going for you or just to have them update for you? Regardless, If you prefer to keep VO as your privacy with us, it will be honored. But John, if something goes terribly wrong, and heavens, I pray not, please make sure someone will let us know. In the mean time, you just do what you need to do to survive what you are going through and know that you can count on my prayers for you & for those responsible for your care & treatment & ofcourse I do include your family as well, I'm sure they are very concerned for you too. Concentrate your strength & energy in caring & resting for yourself. I think of you so often in my day & when I think of you I pray for you. Be whatever you need to be during the moment to get thru this John. We all care about you here at VO!! Sending prayers & a BIG virtual HUG your way! Linda Linda John, I am so glad to hear from you! I’m so sorry that it has been a difficult time. Please remember that there is a beginning, a middle and an end to everything; you are in the middle right now, but it won’t always be like this. Just take good care of yourself - nothing else matters at this moment. When things get rough, picture all of us thinking of you and wishing you well. Because you know we are. All the best.🍀 Laurie Just a semicolon Dear John, Thank you for getting in touch. I am so sorry to learn that your road is a hard one these days, and I hope that you can take some comfort in knowing that we your friends care so deeply about you and yours. We pray and wish for all good things for you. ❤️ Colostomy 4/30/18. John, I was so relieved to see you had posted, but then gutted to hear you had been in the hospital so long. I’ve been thinking of you so much. If good wishes and prayers could make you better, you would be out dancing a jig right now because there are so many people here on VO who are sending you love and prayers. Stay strong. ❤️ -Liza John, I hope all these messages are lifting your spirits. You are a big part of VO, and we’re all thinking of you and Lorraine. What a lovely, compassionate community this is! Take good care, and maybe avoid sucking diesel for awhile 😂. Unless your doctors recommend it. Laurie Just a semicolon @squeakyandliza ,we have a lot of funny sayings and in general if you like a person abusive language is used towards them ,so if you get verbally abused by an Irish person it's normally a good thing . well, in that case, I hope you and John both find yourselves up to your necks in a vat of molasses. 😂 How’s that for a good insult? John- I’m checking in again to see how you are doing. I am sending so many healing thoughts!! But I know I’m supposed to insult you so suck diesel!! I borrowed that one from Tony. 😊 -Liza Hey Liza the insults are kinda like this link ,NSFW and some profanity including C word which Irish people and Australians use as a term of endearment, do not click link if you are easily offended, Hi John. -Liza Hi John, I just wanted to check in to see how you are doing. I feel like I can safely speak for a lot of people here when I say we are thinking about you and are worried about your health. Plus we just miss seeing your posts. I hope you are sucking diesel again soon. Maybe even doing some double clutching. Take care of yourself. 💕 -Liza Hiya John, Just checking it to tell you we are all thinking about you so much and anxious to hear how you are doing. You are such a strong person and we are all pulling for you!! -Liza @squeakyandliza ...Yup! Even I'm here 3 times a day checking in to see if John's checked in. All I can think is that experience of mine when I was in a bad way & in hospital for 13 months, I had a lot of abdominal surgeries in a short time, infections & pain meds made it so I was drained beyond belief & I couldn't even hold a conversation with a flea if I'd even tried! Stuck on a vac-u-pac sucking out infection, at times I was sure it was taking my soul with it. John, I had to really dig deep, but I did it. I surprised myself at how strong I really was. If you need to dig deep, then you do that. Remember the kids book about the little Train? I THINK I can, I think I can, He said as he made his way up a very steep hill. I told myself that so often during those challenging days. I'm sure you get the picture. If you are checking in, please know it's okay not to reply if you're unable too. I/we totally get!! I'm praying regularly for you & your family. If you can manage a thumbs up to let us know your still kicking, even if it's a little toe, then please do that. Either way? We'll write notes to help encourage you or tell you about something we did just to give you something to read. I'll tell you what I did last week. I went on my 1st school field trip as a teachers helper with my Grand-D's kindergarten class. She's 4 years now, almost 5. The grade two class joined us. The kids had so much fun and I did too!! I actually lasted the whole day without needing to stop. I was up early to manage pouch business & made sure I took an extra B vitamins. It's that time of year where the Salmon return to spawn fighting there way up stream. They were SO red!! It was amazing. I'm 66 & have never seen it before, but I have always wanted to. I kind of think I was more excited then the kids! Lol! I'm curious to know if anyone else here has had the experience of this special, incredible event? John, please know that we care about you ! In the mean time, you take all the rest you need & hang as tough as you can! Linda Linda John, Thinking of you in particular today and wishing you healing thoughts and birthday wishes, my friend. May there be many birthdays in your future. I am sending so much positive energy your way. And hopefully some birthday magic. 🎉❤️ -Liza Hey folks, this is just a hello and goodbye. Doing a lot better eating cumin back new stoma which by the way is called junior! Misbehaving from all time to time but I am getting Der. Getting home early next week. So Tony will be able too get back te da red diesel. Cheers folks ❤️👍 ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns

I don’t know if you are still in the hospital, but I remember when I was in the hospital, how hard it was to sleep and how lonely it was when Tom and my mom had gone home for the day. If you are awake and looking at your phone, know I am thinking about you and wishing you healing thoughts. 💕
