@veganostomy I used those pouches 11 years and only have one failure, but I did tell them about it. They actually are good about responding via their X/Twitter feed!  I like these also because they are just a bit shorter, so I'm not being stabbed in my man bits by the edges of the rolled up bag!

That alone is worth the change! It's an ongoing fear of mine. 🤣

@goatherder  ... Thank you for posting the photo!! Uhoh... my pouch opening for drainingʻ... its just like that one.  The one I tape up with electricians tape ... sorry.  Maybe the plastic is better quality on yours.  I do say, the plastic is far quieter on mine then what was put out previously. My pouch numbers on the pouch are Hollister  8931. Should I try & post pics of where I tape

On mine, this opening developes weak spots & tiny holes causing leaks in multiple places, though I have an ileostomy with S.G.S. , SO LOTS of opening & closing,  and nothing to make it possible by just opening & closing by me, it seems the small leaks develope from multiple daily use around 3 plus days wear time. I really hope I'm wrong & yours has much better super powers.

Keep us in the loops.

How are you and your goats doing?? 🐐 I used to watch on your camera each time I came here to VO & saw the link,  but I haven't for a while.  Time for a password I guess, is that new as I don't remember needing one before?  I hope all is well with you & your family.

I'd let Hollister know. Even with their new outlet/bags, there could always be room for improvement.

The bags I've been wearing (generic brand) can sometimes develop small channels along the sides of the outlet, so even if it's closed, liquids can snake their way through. Doesn't happen too often, fortunately, likely because my output isn't usually liquid.

@dlkfiretruck No password needed in guest chat, just type a user name and push enter.  My colostomy is mid transverse, so quite liquid most of the time. I change the skin barrier and pouch every 4 days, and empty about 4 times a day. The new 18194 bags seem quite sturdy. I've only used them about a month now but haven't had any problems at all with them.

Edit: Family is great, and we're soon adding a pair of miniature donkeys to the farm!

@dlkfiretruck why not call hollister and ask for a sample of this new pouches? This way you can try first. Its ridiculous that your having to use tape on those obviously defective pouches and if the new ones work out you should be able to have them replace all the old ones you have on hand to the new ones, free of charge.
