Hi friends! Has anyone tried zip lining with their ostomy? If so, how did it work out? Did you do anything special to protect your stoma? I have never been zip lining but always wanted to try. We have another couple we are good friends with and we have gone on trips for each of our 50th birthdays. I’m the youngest of the group and my birthday trip has been on hold because I still had my wound pump when I turned 50. Now that my tummy is healed and Covid restrictions are loosened, we are finally making plans and I decided on Hawaii. The 2 things that are concerning for me with an ostomy are zip lining and snorkeling. So any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. We are going mid-October. 😀 -Liza Has anyone tried zip lining with their ostomy? If so, how did it work out? Did you do anything special to protect your stoma? I have! Wrote about it here: https://www.veganostomy.ca/world-ostomy-day-2014-celebrating-life/ I did wear a stoma guard and would again. Any harness meant to secure a moving person is risky to the stoma. It was a blast! I'd love to go again. FYI: I went like a year after my surgery, so no real issues there. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate.
