Ok, so who's a soccer/football fan?

While I don't tend to watch sports regularly, I do tend to pay attention to the World Cup and Euro Cup (probably because they don't come by too often).

I know we have a lot of forum members out of the UK, so I would imagine that having England in the finals is a big deal for you guys.

Sorry, but I'm of Italian heritage, so I won't be rooting for you ??

I wouldn’t follow football but this is History in the making. England hasn’t been in a major final since the World Cup win in 1966. What has been different and most agree is a down to earth manager and team. Times pass it seems looking good and partying and fame took over. Whilst we may have invented the game the Europeans and South American’s perfected it. Scotland and Wales where knocked out and Northern Ireland didn’t Qualify. So is everyone in the UK supporting England!! I think Italy may have a few adopted fans.  ??

@veganostomy  I don't think the home advantage will help the English team that much , if anything the added pressure might have the opposite effect, anyway I just hope its a good game , in fact I hope England win despite getting through on a dodgy penalty , because they have finally gotten a bit of luck which is an important factor in tournament football ,

a lot of the English have Irish heritage (7 in the squad) and I am delighted to see people who are born in a country and brought up in that country playing for that country and not for a country that their granny was born in .

anyway come on Cork .
