After a lot of snow, temps are rising... might hit +8 on Friday, which is "t-shirt weather" as far as I'm concerned! LOL But today, freezing rain, so even schools cancelled buses. Not nice to be out at all. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. had a few cold days , -3C at night , schools closed , panic buying , we really cant deal with ice and snow here in Ireland , anyway , wet and cold 4c , but at least we can go shopping , hope everyone has a good year this year , even a little improvement helps a lot with most of us . A whole lot warmer today at 41 degrees. No wind chill. Snow is all melted and can see the grass. The sky is gray though due to on and off rain. I got up at 3am with a burst of energy due to napping in the day and I managed to get my whole apartment bleached down including the floors. Now have windows open and ceiling fan going bringing in fresh air. We ended up having a warmer-than-expected day last week, which did melt 90% of the snow. It was nice to see green again! But a dusting rolled through, and it's been overcast. Temps are expected to continue to be just above freezing, but it will get much colder next week. Also, my outdoor weather station is on the fritz, so that's been a bummer as I enjoyed monitoring the wind and temperature myself. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Now have windows open and ceiling fan going bringing in fresh air. Every once in a while, despite the temperature outside, I'll open our kitchen windows for about 15 minutes to let fresh air in. We have a carbon dioxide meter on the opposite end of the house, and it makes a significant difference. More fresh air in the home (i.e. fresh oxygen), makes you feel more alert and less drowsy. I love that you were able to get the entire apartment scrubbed down! There's something cathartic about making that kind of effort. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. @veganostomy that's awesome! I have a cracked windows mostly everyday. Living in apartments with other people's odors it a must for me. We are back to freezing over here again with snow but my windowvis still cracked. We had a huge snowfall last night and into this afternoon. Deep snow and trudging out there to take out garbage to the dumpster. Not fun. I guess we are to get more snow tomorrow. It looks like this cold weather has no end. Right now it's 14 degrees Fahrenheit. @chelly The massive dump of snow we had yesterday was fortunately the type that was very light and "easy" to shovel, but still unwanted! 🤣 It got down to -18C before my weather station decided to call it quits again. I may need to use lithium-ion batteries in it to combat the cold. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. @veganostomy we had another big snow this morning but stopped in late afternoon when the sun came out and started melting it even though it's only 17 F. I guess we are getting 3 F in Monday but with the windchill it will feel like 25 below zero. I have grocery shopping that day. Oh joy, but at least I have a ride secured. To no one's surprise, woke up to more snow! 🤭 Yesterday was just over 1C, but humid, so it felt much warmer. In the next few days, it will get to -20C... before the windchill. Hey @njewell1, would you mind sending us some warm air? 🤣 Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Cold here(its cold for us) 4C with heavy showers , some crazy sunsets around as well, https://photos.app.goo.gl/q8H8Ek978GUPQ9ii7 Lol Eric I'll do my best . Maybe in the summer you can send us some cool weather in trade 😅 Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis We are at -8C with snow squalls and freezing wind right now.😝 We had some lovely warm weather last week, and all the snow melted, but it has come back with a vengeance this week. So now I’m going to tell you that we are heading back to Portugal at the end of this month and the snow better be gone when we get home! Laurie Just a semicolon
