Cyrisse, you have had a pretty rough go. Happy belated birthday, and I wish you well for your appointment tomorrow. I hope you get some answers. Glad to hear that you have a lot of faith in your surgeon. That makes such a difference in one’s anxiety level. All the best.

Hi Cyrisse...your one heck of a tough gal!! I first want to say Happy Happy Birthday!! Even though it was a heck if a rough day for you, YOU are so worth celebrating!!!  I'm pretty sure you didn't feel much like it though so when you are having a good day try & do something you can handle energy wise with someone you enjoy spending time with or just taking a day to read a good book & relax in a different world of written words.

I so agree with all above & those who will yet join here, no need to apologize! This is what this site is about. Supporting each other as best we can and having a chance to talk to those who have dealt with same or similar issues.

I know I would want answers to whats all going on too if I were in your shoes. Unfortunately it is likely this nasty pandemic is going to affect a decision on any possible surgery likely  interfering further with your life. When you see the Doctor tomorrow make a point of telling him that your quality of life is non-existent with whats going on. It doesn't hurt to say your frustrations out loud to the doctors as you are human & can only take so much in life.  Add to that the pandemic you may feel like your falling between the cracks!  I'm so sorry your dealing with such issues. It doesn't hurt to fall apart in front of your doctor a bit to help him realize your may be at your wits end with all of this!!   Question...if you were to be called for surgery during this covid time would you be able to handle having it at this time?  Sure, as you said, the beds are needed for covid, but remember...YOU are important too.

As far as avoiding a blockage would it help to eat a softer diet? Not that you don't already but sometimes eating foods that don't take a lot of work to digest may help. Just keep an eye on your weight & make sure your getting the required vitamins you need to survive & keep healthy as possible for getting through another surgery.   Soups, lol,  I know its been hot, but they're  loaded with seasonal veggies have a lot of vitamins & blended may help. Yogurt is good for gut health too. I'll be praying for you as you go forward during this time & for answers in your apt. tomorrow. Hang in there you tough Florida cookie you!!!!!!

Hi-

Quick update. Saw surgeon on Friday, went over the report as well as the CT Scan, these hernias(2) are NOT blocking anything, they r small. We will keep watching them. Still having these loose stools, he and my GI PA decided to do a C-Diff, sent in Monday. We were all SHOCKED that it was negative. I actually think it was a mistake, and will ask them to repeat it. Another stool sample went in for 3 other things Monday for ova/parasite, stool elastase test, and another one forgot what it was. Still expelling fecaliths ! On 8/9 the pain was very different. Anemic as well for quite some time. I am due for another colonoscopy anyway, we will schedule that early too. I am so depressed. Colon cancer runs in the family as well. Happy that I have the best GI team/GI surgeon on the Treasure Coast too.

I have  had this problem since the reversal 8/20 sort of used to it in a way. erratic problem, constipation then diarrhea. So maybe its UC, Chrohn's, we are going to figure this out, what ever the case. Something ain't right. Thx for reading. and the nice birthday wishes. Any thoughts welcomed. Being a nurse for 46 years does not help ! LOL
