I was just thinking about our neighbors to the north and the things they have given the world. In my opinion, these are the top 5. 5. Pretty multi-colored money, and a coin called a Loonie. 4. Salt and Vinegar potato chips. Not sure if they are from Canada, but that is the first place I ever saw them. 3. Oh, Canada (national anthem) 2. Barenaked Ladies (no explanation necessary) 1. Vegan Ostomy!! -Liza Pretty multi-colored money, Not to boast, but I do think our paper money is the most "advanced" and prettiest in the world. What I want to know is why does American money look so bad? I was comparing bills with my friends while I was down there and it's like comparing newspaper to museum art! LOL Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Maybe because it is worth less, they have to try harder to be pretty. ?? I would move to Canada just for the pretty money. Lol -Liza Don’t forget about Katherine Ryan, Now that’s one Canadian very easy on the eyes ?? ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns I had to google her, but yes, she is very pretty. Oh, I can't believe I forgot Shania Twain!! She bumps Salt and Vinegar chips right off the list. And I realized that maybe Barenaked Ladies do require an explanation for anyone who hasn't heard of them. They are one of the best bands of all time. ? Not a group of nude women. ? -Liza I've listened to them for as long as I can remember! But Canada has produced a lot of musical talent: There are dozens more! Even a lot of great actors were born here: ?? Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Sidney Crosby!!!! Yep, I'm a hockey fan. Raine That is a lot of cool things about Canada!! Not such a bad country. I've only been to British Columbia, both Vancouver and Victoria, which was great fun. From where I live in Washington, it is a days drive to Vancouver. And a gorgeous ferry ride to Victoria from either Vancouver or Seattle. I'd love to see more of it. I heard there is an amazing mall in Edmonton, though I'm not much of a shopper. But I still have an awful lot of the US left to see as well. And glad to have a fellow Barenaked Ladies fan here. They are one of my favorites!! I have seen them 3 times, though only once was planned. The other two were very happy coincidences. Dang. I tried to upload a little video I took when we saw them at the Final Four 3 years ago but the file was too big. -Liza Ah John Candy, what a legend !!! Sadly missed ? ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns Don’t forget about Katherine Ryan, Now that’s one Canadian very easy on the eyes ?? well John her father is from Cork and thats where she gets her sense of humour I think I have many reasons to love Canada - my great grandparents, grandmother and her 12 siblings were born in Gaspe. My great grandfather and grandmother were "little" people, and my great grandfather built their home to accommodate him and his wife. When my brother and mother went to visit my great aunt, who still lived there at the time, my brother, who is about 5'11' had to stoop to get through the doors lest he bump his head. My mother, who was only 5'3' was considered tall. Stella
