In the famous words of Professor Henry Higgins, damn damn damn damn. I thought I was going to be okay for Thanksgiving felt a little bit queasy last night after dinner but not bad because I really made an effort to not stuff myself like the proverbial gobbler. But I did feel kind of queasy anyway and today I had some leftovers which are my favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner. And it came back for a second round just for fun. I was hoping that this part of life was kind of passed over with all of this. But when I swallowed things I felt like I was being stabbed so looking forward to seeing doctor juvelier my surgeon on Tuesday. I have an infusion of Remicade first thing in the morning and then go see him, going to see if we can figure out what's going on. I'm just discouraged and a bit down but I'll come back up I always do.

I am sooooooo ready for something other than turkey.   Kinda spent today in hiding.  I'm not depressed about things. I know what clinical depression is like, I have been there. It is more like discouraged with how things are going.  I do have a remicade infusion Tuesday at noon, then an appointment with my surgeon at 3:45.  Gonna talk about having my stump removed as it ALWAYS hurts, like a broken tailbone.  I know there is a name for that surgery but dont know what it is.  Will let you know what he says, but I am not too positive he will do it.

I think it was Marcie who mentioned feeling like she had a stomach full of lard after she ate thanksgiving dinner and again the next day. Even though I was really good and tried very hard to not stuff myself I still ended up feeling bloated and crummy.  Must be something to do with how rich everything is in that dinner. And that feeling has maintained through today. Resorted to taking some Zofran but was nauseated and threw up anyway.  I have a suspicion that something isn't right down there. But, hey, I'm only the patient, what the heck do I know??

Robert I am going to be ready for an uber ride to Dennys tomorrow let me know when you are up and ready to go!!   Barbara

John, for me it is a heavy dull feeling in my stomach that feels like I've got something down there that just won't shift. It won't move it's heavy it's just there.

Gull Bladder was removed last year, it busted and infected, and got stones in my panktres-sp) and I went to see my seurgon,  on a Wednesday, and she said  didnt have a blockage, fine- 3 days later Sunday- Emergancy surgery-so not to fond of her.. I am done with test etc. I think that I will be o.k. did u get this feeling also John?

The best way  always feel is to give any thoughts based on what happens me. I am a light eater small meals and snacks. I have always found a large meal sits heavy and is slow to move. Another point is may be when we have been hungry for a while and then eat we have wind trapped and it can feel uncomfortable at the back of the stoma.

I took your advise and I knew better also- and drank more during eating-- maybe more fluids.. but I need the weight  ! Maybe I need more of the fluids-- dehydration is nothing to fool around with-been a wall flower to many time with  that one the past 3 years, always hooked u to a wall-- and hooked up to a wall 3 x a week for fuids.. I cant take any more than 2 bags at one sitting as the third one makes me sick and cant eat or drink-just feel nauseated for days .......... IN  BED.........something has to give..................
