So, as you guys know, I'm working on some changes to the VeganOstomy site. Part of that will include a theme change, and I'm trying to edit as much as I can on the live site to help minimize downtime. Of course, editing the live site is always risky, but most of the changes aren't designed to really break anything. One of the new things I discovered is a "reusable block" in my editing software. I thought I could use it to set up templates for certain articles, so I don't have to go back and see what color I used, what the layout looks like, etc. One particular "reusable block" was set up for the "pros and cons" section in my reviews, so the pros would be in the green column and cons would be in red. Easy. My big assumption was that these "reusable blocks" were like templates, so I could load them into an article with all the formatting in place, and simply edit it. Well... I was wrong. The "reusable block" is actually designed to be used as an element you can add to as many pages as you like and then edit it so the changes take effect ON ALL THOSE PAGES. Fortunately, I haven't been revising too many reviews just yet (other articles are higher priority) but I was maybe 15 reviews in, and then it dawned on me what was happening. I had to laugh as my anxiety kicked in, because the final revision I did to this "reusable block" was for a vegan food item I reviewed many years ago, and the review still gets a lot of traffic before any holiday. As you can imagine, the pros and cons for that food item transferred to those ostomy product reviews where I used the "reusable block"!! Imagine see a review on Eakin Rings and reading that it "tastes great", "is available in many grocery stores", "doesn't come with a lot of stuffing" or "spares a real turkey"!! 🤣 Bloody hell!! haha! Anyway, I had to go back and insert the correct pros and cons for those reviews, and I most certainly learned a lesson. Had I used more of these "reusable blocks" as formatting for other parts of the site, I might have had to undo many dozens of hours I've spent working on things these past few weeks. I'm only human, after all!🤷 Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Hilarious! Eric, I am trying to incorporate more plant based options in my diet, but I absolutely draw the line at Eakin rings. 😆  Laurie Just a semicolon Hilarious!
