Tigerlily’s art is so wonderful; what talent! I am not an artist, but I have been sewing pot holders and mats lately and am attaching a picture of my efforts (these are my first try). The one at lower right is not yet finished.

Would love to see what else anybody is doing.

Love your pot holders! You’re wrong - you are an artist. It takes artistic talent to put colours together so they work well. 🎨

Those are wonderful. I especially like the one on the right. But I am partial to polka dots. I have made several quilts, mostly baby quilts for my 17 nieces and nephews. I do okay with sewing things that are straight lines, but struggle with clothes or anything remotely challenging.  Here is the last one I did earlier this year for my niece’s baby.

I can’t attach the picture. It is too big and I don’t know how to make it smaller.

@squeakyandliza When I attach a picture on VO, I see a bar that says actual size, then clic on that and see options for small, medium or large - if the actual size is too big, then usually the medium works. I am not great with any technology, but that has been my experience.

Thanks LL. I tried that a never saw anything to change the picture size. I know what you are talking about though because I get that same thing when I email a photo.  Maybe I need to do it on the computer rather than my phone. 😊

I can’t attach the picture. It is too big and I don’t know how to make it smaller.

Some phones allow you to resize images, and some require a third party software to do that. It's not the dimentions of the photo that's too big, but the size in data. It needs to ve smaller than 2MB.

I'll explore options to make this process automatic, but I can't make any guarantees that it exists.

P.S. if you're looking for a free service to resize your image online, then https://imageresizer.com/ is a good option. Their privacy policy is also encouraging.

@tigerlily ...Oh my, I'm so sorry! I saw your post about your very Artistic painting & nearly fell off my bed!! Lol! I thought it was a photograph at 1st. I do toll painting & have never ventured into water anything because it can be very difficult to do but you did an amazing job!! Its so beautiful!! Good for you! Have you more pictures of what you've done? Can I have your autograph, lol,  I don't know anyone who paints that well plus it looks like the dog is actually swimming which is why I thought it was a photo that night & that maybe I missed the actual painting. So.. Wow! Great job you ARTIST you!

LLNORTH... very nice quilting work there! Tigerlily  is very right, matching fabric  colors is not easy in quilting &  as I am still venturing into it again, it is actually my biggest fear.

Is that blue a turquoise? It looks like turquoise on my phone but it could be the dimmed or blue screen I've removed from my phone.  I'm so in love with the turquoise colours out there. I just think its such a pretty colour!! I'd love to do a Pouf Quilt with those colours.

BTW ... if you can follow the apron patterns you can sew a dress. Just take it step by step as the patterns show. You can learn anything on YouTube now it seems. Because of YouTube I've repaired my dishwasher 2ce & replaced my ovens lower burner since covid! You can do it! Plus I could answer questions or better yet your local fabric store often has ladies or gents that can help  if you get stuck.

squeakyandliza ... Liza your baby quilts have been so adorable & are such thoughtful gifts!!

You'll figure out the picture thing. You smart on these gadgets! Besides, you need to because who else will I send my photos to to post if you can't do it! Lololol!!! But.. seriously now...

Maybe if you took your phone to where you bought it they could show you how to re-size a photo.

Wow this is really cool! I remember that I made something similar some time ago and do not know why I stopped... need to start doing it again!
