Hi

I am seeking a pouch deodorant that doesn’t have coloring AND is unscented.

Do you have any leads out there?

Thanks so much,

~~Mere

Try "Na'Scent". It's both clear and odorless.

It didn't work well for me, but I've heard from others who have sworn by it! My review can be found here: https://www.veganostomy.ca/nascent-deodorant-for-ostomy-pouches-review/

@veganostomy Thank you, Eric!

Are you just dealing with the black or blue in your pouch?

Are you just dealing with the black or blue in your pouch?

The Hollister M9 I use is blue, and it's not really an issue unless I'm sloppy while putting it in the bag. But once it's in, it doesn't cause any problems and works really well.

Are you worried about staining or something like that?

M9 has worked well for me - and the blue color does have an advantage: it helps me see just how much I am putting into the pouch. It has not permanently discolored my clothes (the blue came out in the wash) the few times that I accidentally dripped a couple of drops.

Colostomy 4/30/18.

@llholiday Thank you! Do you have a product number? How do you use it (number of drops etc)?

M9 is the superior pouch deoderant. I've spilled it on my white polymide/elastene ostomy garments many a time and ot washes right out on the washer.

This is non scented too which is a bonus. The scented deoderants do absolutely nothing. There are some out there that are putting dmdm hydanaton in them which is a formaldehyde releaser.. m9 does not have that and safe. I rinse so I certainly do not want formaldehyde near my stoma.

@gardengypsy I just order Hollister M9 drops from my medical supplier. I use about 10-12 drops when I first put a pouch/barrier/ring on, and 10-12 drops each time I empty. A bottle lasts about a month. M9 is a wonderful product that has been life-changing for me.

@gardengypsy your welcome! I just learned about this after experimenting with a couple that gave me bad reactions. In my opinion there is none better than M9.

I think the brava is colorless.  It's been a bit since I used it.

@tony-h I looked at the link and would certainly consider buying these and trying them out. Do you use a new one each time you empty, or do they last though several empties? These might work especially well for when a person can’t empty often - say, at an all-day event or when traveling.
