I come by it honestly, making things for presents is highly valued in my family. I sew, bead, have done small scale stained glass and many other things. Inspired by Oscar I've been making ostomy covers. I've made 5 and have 3 in the works. What do you like to do? What are your current projects? Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 I saw you post that on Reddit 😀😀 While a lot of my time is spent working on the website, editing videos and learning how to put it all together, I also enjoy photography and video games. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Felicity, Thats a very cool cover! Nicely done. Bling for the stoma! Onset of severe Ulcerative Colitus Oct.2012. Subtotal colectomy with illiostomy July 2015; Peristomal hernia repair ( Sugarbaker, mesh, laparoscopic) May 2017. I've decided plain jane no see um covers are not for me. The one I wore yesterday made me so happy because of the pattern. It feels good to decorate the area. I went out and bought some more fabric and some patches. Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 Felicity, if you have the energy make covers for others, I know that Etsy is a great place to do that! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Been thinking about that as I go on and perfect the pattern. They are so economical on fabric unless I am cutting to frame a certain portion of the print. Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 Good luck if you go that route! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 That's class, I seen one some where recently which was a skull. as the man says you could be taking orders ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns I'll take some pictures, this one is a newer design. I use thin elastic across the back on some to help them fit a bit better and adjust between larger and smaller size flanges. Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 This one I cut the hole way too large. To compensate I put a strand of elastic at the halfway point and a looped strand anchored top and bottom. The single strand gets tucked under the flange and the loop gets tucked on each side. This does mean it can be pretty flexible and fit smaller flanges Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 Awesome! You better head to the patent office 😁 Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. I used this as a springboard and have fiddled around until I've got it how I like it. I copied one of my bags to make my own pattern. Add a seam allowance. If you trace the hole on the fabric and then sew it you get a closer fit to the "neck" of your bag on the back. Realised I had not shared this recource here but had on another forum. Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 I wish I had more time to sew! Great job! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Hi, Felicity, Do u sell them? They are so cute!! 2014 - 3 strangulations of colon, Ulcerative colitis, removal of colon, illiostomcy named woooh Nellie.. As soon as I've come up with a good pattern I'll b considering. Just want to get it consistent as so far the original batch has different sized holes. Likely into the New Year since I'll be recovering and might not be up to fiddling around. Crohn's Colitis, Ilieostomy, Proctocolectomy November 2017 Did you make your pants also? I have been searching on eBay for clothing but don't know what that waist is called. Not able to go shopping at this time. Cant stand high waist or anything over my stoma now. Mary Hi Mary and Welcome!! I wear plaza pants, long skirts- sweat suits, maturnity jeans. anything that has a nice elastic waist. Simple and dressy..
