While a lot of my time is spent working on the website, editing videos and learning how to put it all together, I also enjoy photography and video games.

Bling for the stoma!

I've decided plain jane no see um covers are not for me. The one I wore yesterday made me so happy because of the pattern. It feels good to decorate the area. I went out and bought some more fabric and some patches.
Eventually I plan to make outerwear bags for events I attend.

Felicity, if you have the energy make covers for others, I know that Etsy is a great place to do that!

Been thinking about that as I go on and perfect the pattern. They are so economical on fabric unless I am cutting to frame a certain portion of the print.

Hey Felicity, how is the back hole designed? Is it elastic?

I'll take some pictures, this one is a newer design. I use thin elastic across the back on some to help them fit a bit better and adjust between larger and smaller size flanges.

New style hole, large enough for a 2 3/4 flange.

This one I cut the hole way too large. To compensate I put a strand of elastic at the halfway point and a looped strand anchored top and bottom. The single strand gets tucked under the flange and the loop gets tucked on each side. This does mean it can be pretty flexible and fit smaller flanges

I used this as a springboard and have fiddled around until I've got it how I like it.

I copied one of my bags to make my own pattern. Add a seam allowance. If you trace the hole on the fabric and then sew it you get a closer fit to the "neck" of your bag on the back.

As soon as I've come up with a good pattern I'll b considering. Just want to get it consistent as so far the original batch has different sized holes. Likely into the New Year since I'll be recovering and might not be up to fiddling around.

Did you make your pants also?  I have been searching on eBay for clothing but don't know what that waist is called.  Not able to go shopping at this time.  Cant stand high waist or anything over my stoma now.

I wear plaza pants, long skirts- sweat suits, maturnity jeans. anything that has a nice elastic waist.  Simple and dressy.. Just do your hair nice and your off for a nice day.
