@llholiday I'm so sorry to hear about that terrible fall you had.  Did they do a cat scan of the abdomen and pelvis at the time?  If so they would sometimes be able to see the parastomal hernia. Try not to stress.i know easier said than done but all this stressing and worrying we do is wrecking more havoc on our health. I do the same thing.

You have your consult and you'll find out what all is wrong and what can be done. Just follow the Doctors  advice as long as your comfortable with what he suggests and you should be ok.

Thinking of you

Thanks, Chelly. The ER only did a chest scan, but just coincidentally I had a one-year checkup scheduled with GI. The PA there asked if my stomach usually stuck out in that spot and ordered the abdominal scan. The woman who did the scan mentioned that she could really see it (this is when I was lying on the little cot and I thought, omigod how did I not notice this) and so now I have the appointment with the surgeon who did my colonoscopy. You’re right, Chelly, I will remind myself that things are scheduled and being taken care of, and I do feel really thankful for the medical system and people.

Colostomy 4/30/18.
