I didn't think that you were overly graphic. You just stated the way life is and we just have to go with it. I must admit that 2 years ago I never thought I would be talking about output pouches and blowouts and laundry in the middle of the night in any of those kind of things but now I do so it is and I've even reached the point where it usually doesn't gross me out too badly. Hang in there kiddo you're doing good

I haven't noticed any meds in my pouch. But I'm certainly going to start keeping a closer eye on it to see.

Barbara I was afraid to eat corn too after my surgery (and I was born in Iowa n I love corn) took me about 6 months to finally try it even then it was only half an ear of corn .  Since then I eat it and like mykirbyroo says it goes right thru . You outta try it . And the scalloped corn is really good has mostly always been a holiday dish in my family but I'm gonna start making it .

I had a guy come into the room right before I was released from Pikeville (KY) Hospital...gave me a QUICK 10 min run thru on how to change bag.  Told me that I can eat anything I ate before.  But if I ate 3 slices of pizza before, now eat one and if anything bothers me...DONT eat it again.  My surgeon is still seeing me once a month and the Cancer Center is also still checking on me.  Blood work and Port flush once a month.  I had Home Health Nurse for 3 weeks or so.  Now on my own.

Barbara yes eat what ever you want but try first in small doses . I'm not far ahead of you with surgery and I eat pretty much what I want . I eat cheese different ways I eat meat steaks , roast , pork chops chorizo (pork) don't care for the beef one don't do fish though don't really care for them . Ask Marcie I even eat Bacon all the time right Marcie Lol . I even eat a few nuts sometimes . But yes chew chew chew .

I agree with ya I eat all the same things but maybe just a little less than before . But I love spicy hot things I even eat crushed peppers . My latest crushed ones to receive are Carolina Reaper 1,500,000 shu can't wait to try them . Point is yes eat what you want but try it a little at a time .

Things on the farm here going well thanks . How bout you ? Was outta town for a couple days but thought of you yesterday when I had a couple gravy rings ! Lol . Your on your own---BUt at least you /had/have us and Eric during this--look at me and many others that didn't.. it was a sad first few years for me-It would have been nicer if I had all this information!!!!! Never mind the fact that I feel luckier than most on this blog--I got hit fast and hard-but didn't have those stupid pills that knocked them out of wack and their long years of pain!! Introduce foods slowly-your still in healing stages inside and within mind-- and there are a few of them as u can already see..  I was all alone until I found a paper on the floor of my surgeon office that contained a support group- :-0 ???Called, and got a ostomate visit and she came many times.. Now we are good friends..  We go out and have pizza- I eat 3 slices now-- but lots of water when I eat such heavy foods or vegs.. Make a nice home made beef/chicken/turkey veg soup-with the bones in for health wise-- good for healing..and this has its liquids too!!! Get well and stay well... Robert is doing well now and his surgery was recent.. You  have been through much and any surgery is a shock to ones system..  even people getting a tooth extracted--what we put ourselves through mentaly with that!! right bubble? how r u doing by the way bubbles? 

I eat nuts, I also put them in my breads just crush them up a bit more..I eat pinapple from the can chunks, and cottage cheese--for a snack- Cheese foudue (new years)and yes Mary, quiche with bacon in it.. I left a recipe on the lounge for Robert-THE cheese seems to love my "Nellie" so they get started talking rather fast....... blabber mouths!!!!!!!!

Robert, Felicity seems to be great at sewing.. You stayed late last night--did u get clean up duty?  OR get a ride from Olber? The security said that they put you cycle in the back..  I guess Barb, called triple A-car gone. Someone sat in Felicitys chair so maybe she did come after all!!!!!!  There is a measuring tape on the chair-maybe she didn't like the color purple I chose-so going to make herself a new wild cover.. Mary crushed all her pills after she got all the "wax" off them, so that kept her busy...... She used ice cubes.. puddles all over that table and it WAS the pool table!!!!!.. She needed a railing so they wouldn't fall on the floor but she got the 8 ball in.. She's happy--- Don't know what we are going to about the nice felt material after her puddles dry--maybe we can get a new cover for the pool table, they come in colors other that green- I like the blue-- there are reds and so many different colors.. shall we vote?  IT is OUR lounge.......... :-)

Well then, hi loungers!   I used to find metformin tabs in my pouch. For a while I didn't know what it was, due to their large size they resembled Cheetos when they were in the bag.  I told my doc and luckily I don't need the metformin anymore.

Last year I had a trip to the UK booked that I had to cancel due to my cancer diagnosis. Well, I booked it for this coming May! My oncologist is happy I booked it and I'm feeling good otherwise I never would have booked.

my reversal surgery will be in January so I hope (think) by May, I'll be free of Pippa the ileo.

Marcie yes I did have to stay late to clean up after Mary . How did you guess ? But I did get the table dried out finally no need for color change . Had to leave my bike so me n Barbara shared an Uber ride and stopped at Denny's for a grand slam ! Felicity popped in said something about purple n took off out the door . I thought I had seen Bubbles there but then disappeared . BTW Marcie where we're you when it was time to clean up ???? Eric said next time you get clean up detail .   Eric said tonight Me John n Tony get to set at the corner table by the Loo n be the Peelers for the night and eat gravy rings .
