Nope you aren't out of line at all.  I was drinking the whole time till I started vomiting (hate that with a passion). Then I couldn't even keep water down. I figure that I lost 18 pints of fluids in about 12 hours and couldn't get it back in.  I saw my GI doc today and he said that after 5 bouts of C-Diff in 2 years some thing serious has to be done before it kills me.  He wants to do something called a fecal transplant.  WHAT???  Yup thats what he said.   My first thought after the yuck factor was... "You mean I am not full enough of my own sh__t so you are going to top me off with someone elses?" The answer was yes. He's going to schedule it in the next 2 weeks.  This one is still making me queasy but if it works....  he says it can be a permanent cure. Ain't science just amazing?  Hope this didn't gross any on out, but if it  did, welcome 2 my club.

Barb. My dear one........... Why did the hospital send u home with C-Diff?  Being so fast spreading and all..  This can go around to everyone else and back again to you or make your stated C-diff worse!!  Sure don't want u in the hospital for this mistake..  Did u say something about this?  AS most of us said and agree, we have to speak for ourselves.. Hope your feeling better. 

Because they didn't believe I had c-diff. I have had it 5 times now and can recognize it blindfolded at 10 paces. I told them when I went in that I had it but the "doctor" wouldn't believe me.  He said my white blood cell count wasn't high enough so I couldn't possibly have it.  Sent me home.  At 7;30 the next morning one of the ER people called very anxious and said I tested positive for it and needed vancomycin right away. Have to admit I said "told you so". They didn't laugh. I have been staying in my apartment so I don't infect anyone else.

Barbara sorry to hear you have C-Diff again had it 3 times myself and I know its no fun .

I would like to say to all the military members around the world form EVERY country who are stationed somewhere other than home and also the ones at home and all of the First Responders EVERYWHERE and to my OSTOMY Family

Hey u guys!  ITs my Birthday I am going on 69 --and I un-clogged the bathroom sink! :-)  I guess I still have it huh? Wish someone told me about it tho..  And they drank my one saved beer.

I gained 7 pounds. today-- sugar is on the high side.. in the 370's , so fasting for blood work next week. Infusion went well Gattex is working.,and the weekend looks great!! What more can I ask for?? Everything is un-clogged, and I placed an order for some beer to my son.. ah  life. :-0..

Hi everyone. As you could probably tell from my reply to Marcy's birthday, I am back in the fray again. I have been home from rehab for a week now and things are going better than they have in a long time. I feel better than I have in the past year-and-a-half. I think that the transplant worked and that they have killed off my c-diff colony. I have been told to not take ANY antibiotics unless it is a matter of life or death.  ALL  my doctors know this now.  Stella, my stoma, is behaving herself for change. Me thinks perhaps I am being led into a false sense of security.! 😁

Thanks all- Barb, Yes. I also hope sliding into age 70 is better than 63 into now.  That's for sure!! ------ what an awful 4 years!! 

The issue with the old infusion place is coming along well.  The President of the 2 main larger hospitals and others on that level are out for the get thing working in proper order in that place.  I have another meeting this Thursday with them. Then done for the most part. I am NOT in the wrong.. :-)     (this nearly floored me)
