Hi Tony, how the wee pup doin

Hey John the wee pup is doing great , he is almost house trained (if he has an accident its our fault for not spotting the signs), last night he slept from around 1 am to 8am and no accidents ,

He's a mad little fecker (not a swear word I promise just more local Irish phrasing ) , when he is active he is really active , he got the zooms a while ago and was bouncing off the walls , If you have the energy and need cheering up a golden retriever puppy would make anyone smile , photo of the demon dog

https://photos.app.goo.gl/I2Cu1qoLL1x9hsr82

we got him a puppy toy and gave it to him yesterday and he proceeded to play with it in a very earthy fashion , ie he humped the living daylights out of it , it was the funniest thing I have ever seen , hopefully he will grow out of that kind of behavior , hope you had a nice Christmas John and a healthy one .

Tony, Your pup is so cute!!  I can see a different you--a proud pa pa........ My cat M.r Poo, humps his toy sometimes mostly towards then end of a long play. For a new toy he sits on it.  I think it is his claiming of his territory....... But he is about 10 years old now.. one would think that would be over with--  But remains very active at his age..

Enjoy  your pup!!  He is bringing you and us much joy--thanks for sharing.. Marcie.

Good Morning Tony

Alfie sure is growing fast nothing like a puppy to keep you entertained n busy from time to time . Almost trained for the house already ? They are very smart all we have to do is spend time with them n the learning comes easy to them . I have to admit I did a double take on the mad little fecker  I get a kick out of the terms you n John use . Its like learning a new language for me Lol . The Jag sounds pretty good just something about a nice exhaust system n a healthy motor its like music ! So you looking to buy a new car ????

HI "z" that is a nice story-that shall remain in your heart for ever.  I guess that is why they call that area, "the Heart Land" huh?

Snowing again.. 3 inches-keeping things white.. Still a strong COLD snap until next week and then maybe a day in the 30's. what joy to look forward to..

Anyone------- Ever hear of the injection "Gattex" this is for people like me that have lost major weight and cant hold nutririon fluids etc. This is what a GI Dr. wants to put me on--check it out what do u think.. Need advise or your options. I cant afford it. NO ONE CAN.. Costs 4 hundred thousands dollars/per/year. hahah. But they hope to get me in a program.. ?

Thanks in advance........... Marcie........................

Okay,  I am ready to tell the "pass it on" story.

I grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. ,with the accent and with the attitude. We got married and moved to Houston, Texas.

We had a  massive culture shock. New York to Texas.  That year,  Sima and I as newlyweds learned a lot about others.

The year was up and I got my next job 600 miles away, in Louisville,  Kentucky. I had to move in the least costly way. That was to tow a Uhaul behind my 11 year old clunker. I loaded up and left on Sunday afternoon.

[I am leaving out a lot of details ]

Traveled North through Texas in August heat. No air conditioning! . Got 'smart' and wore a thin Tshirt and shorts the next day. When I got into Arkansas, the Ozark mountains made my car complain. So I am doing 45 mph on a superhighway.  Speed limit was 70 mph.  Got  up to 55 on the downhill side.

Then, my tire blew .

I wrestled the car and trailer to the side of the road. Rolled to a stop and got out. Walked around to assess the situation. I needed to change the rear tire. To get to the spare tire, I would have to unhitch the trailer  {don't ask why }, offload the trunk, dig out the spare .etc. etc . etc.

I looked up to the cloudless Arkansas sky and said,"God, please help me". I proceeded to start the process.  All of a sudden,  this humongous boat of a car pulls in behind me. And this 6'6"  REDNECK with a porkpie hat climbed out and walked over. "Son, he drawled,  what's the problem ?"

This is the mid seventies.  I looked like a hippy. He looked like a  hippy hater. It was the Ozarks. Yipes!!!

I responded  (very respectfully), that the tire was flat. He turned around and went to his trunk, opened it and reached in.

The thought,  that he was going to bring out a shotgun and shoot the hippy , ran through my mind . Instead , he came back with a can in his hand. He handed it to me.  I looked at it. It was a  can of FLAT FIX...I was astounded  and reached for my wallet to pay him.

He said "Son, you can't pay me, you have got to PASS IT ON."

This made a tremendous impression on me. It changed my outlook  and empowered me to not be afraid of 6'6" Rednecks with porkpie hats.

The story of how and when I fulfilled my promise is for another day.

Hi ALL, I was impressed by this and asked Zvitusk to post it again as I felt it had disappeared with new posts coming in. he has given me the go ahead to post it again.
