Well, I am at the lounge--- Glad u all found the corner table near the bathroom...Β  Parking is not as good as I though but next time we can drive in earlier..Β

Nice huh?Β  They have pizza here and Robert can get bacon on his.. Got a pitcher of ice water too- Being dehydrated, I cant drink alcoholic drinks. but I never drank anyways.Β  But on my good days, when I am in the bath with a candle lit in there also, I may have 1/2 glass of wine.Β  I just push the jets button and make believe that I am in a place other than this.. Lots of bubbles..Β

Anyways, anyone hear from Barb?Β  She had her scope test today--Β

Now we will have to save a seat for our Felicity on her next drama which is coming up soon.. Maybe we can guide her through with warm thoughts during her time of recovery.. I feel for her-but she is ready-

Hey!! They have checkers here too!!!!!! Anyone????Β

Hey all, doing fine. Just waiting to hear from the other surgeon. I'm pretty certain it's not going to be the 9th, but I am hoping.

Got my fish Flops for the hospital. Very very sturdy and well made. I'll bleach em after I get home, maybe use them for camp slippers or wear them to work for shits and giggles.

Bacon on Pizza is fantastic. I also like bacon on my non-sweet oatmeal with a nice poached egg, maybe a bit of parmesian cheese.

Hi all,Β  well I have finally recovered from the gallon of Golytely that I drank last night. Jeez that is a hard way to prep.Β  Stella (My stoma for anyone who didn't know) is really PO'd at me for making her work that hard.Β  They did even more prep this morning planning on an 11:00 procedure time.Β  That of course left me waiting in the pre-procedure waiting room till noon.Β  Not too bad though, have waited longer.Β  The outcome:Β  yet more polyps than before. Many were very inflamed and more diverticuli that were left after last surgery were inlammed and nasty too.Β  They also scoped my rump stump and found more of the same.Β  All this lovely stuff was caused by a case of C-Diff (remember out chat about that?) That was worse than they thought. I didn't know that it is caused by spores rather than bacteria.Β  This stuff caused all the pain, swelling and cramping and turned me into one sick puppy.Β  Marcie you were right in the beginning, no surgeryΒ this time.Β Β they put me out really well so since I got back to my room about 2:30 I have been sleeping it off.Β  I am remaining in hospital in quarantineΒ  on a foul tasting antibiotic. Have to swallow a liquid because that is the best way into the gut. So a few more days of pain and bed rest and I can go home.Β  Strange to me that something as bad as this can seem like a walk in the park compared to other possibilities.Β  Thank you all for your kindness and concern walking with me through this. I have found even more how humor (yours) and a sounding board!

Severe rheumatoid arthritis, spondoloarthropy, polymyalgia rhumatica, type 1 diabetic, IBS and finally, emergency diverticulitis surgery, colon removed Stella born Jan. 27, 2017. 6 bouts of c-diff, failed fecal transplant. Complete colonectomy and ileostomy July 30, 2018. ENOUGH!!

Glad to hear you are doing ok Barbara. That C Dif is awful stuff, never realized how awful until I caught it. I work around it daily at the Home, might be where I caught my case.

Hey Barbara , hope you get rid of the c diff asap , I got it after my op and it was nasty , I thought I was dying until they told me what it was , I also had to take the liquid anti biotic and while it tasted nasty it was really effective .

Hi Barb. I just woke up-When not going to infusion? I sleep in!! Glad that they found out what is wrong-(and u have so much)I hope next time your not to par.. You GET into the E.R. Asap!!Β  Infections can linger for a bit and we tent to go with the flow of not feeling so hot-then BINGO IT is major!! I think we all learned a lesson with this of your experience.. We are always in danger for a fast mess!! Stella, will calm down now and when she comes back to normal, u will know that things are healing NOT healed but healing..Β

You seem so much better now, and I am sure that you will have nice holidays.. A bit of a rush of holidays so lets all of us take it easy! (myself included-I tend to over do it-but this is the first year out of 4 that I am on the mends)Β

Did u drive yourself in ?? Have u contacted your son yet?Β  Just get better-You have been through a lot..Β  Best. M.

We would be in the group of folk who can easily pick up infection. If there is an open wound or the likes even more risk
