Ive read comments on this so decided to experiment.  Coloplast sensura 1 piece outside facing clear sky, -4F / -20C.    Being a clear night , flange surface may have been below -10F / -23C. All night long.

The wear time was 1 week, a little above average. No signs of abnormality.

I do have 1 more test subject thats been in truck all winter long, several subzero days& nights.

Thanks for sharing.  Coincidentally I am packing for my first long airplane trip (for a 3 week vacation) since my surgery and wondering if it's ok to put some supplies in my checked bags (which will get very cold).  I'll bring most in my carry-on, but your experiment gives me comfort that I shouldn't have issues with those in the luggage hold. Very helpful.  :-)

Awesome experiment!

If you can get samples from other brands, it would be interesting to see how they compare. Hollister, for example, uses a fully synthetic adhesive/wafer, while Coloplast does not.

I don't think one night would cause a huge problem, but let us know how the other sample works out.

One product that I had, which needed to be replaced by the supplier because of cold damage, was from Salts and the adhesive looked cracked after being delivered. I don't know if it would have affected wear time or not. 😂

yes, if you were thinking about cold damage from freeze drying- freezer burn.   but ususally cold damage happens rather fast once a certain temperature has been reached.

I'll have to wait til next winter for other tests.  I may have a hollister i can try.  maybe even a 2 piece somewhere in my very old supplies.

I left a box of Sensura Mio Click wafers in the car all evening and overnight this winter. Went to -25.

Have not noticed any difference in performance.

Why?

We should get a list of "confirmed cold-weather" appliances going! Thanks for the reports, guys!
