Hi, I play a lot of intense but amateur pickleball, so I need this just in case someone hits a ball at my stoma. It may never happen, but I don't want to worry about it. Would you say it is protective enough for that? My stoma is below my belly button so the guard can be tucked into my skort. P.S. I loved your detailed review!

Hi Laurie,

Thanks for the comment and question! Because this is a hard plastic guard, I would say that it would be quite effective at protecting your stoma from a ball strike.

As noted in my review, this guard may not stay in position as well as a belted guard. But, tucking it into your bottoms should keep it in place!

The biggest advantage to the StomaDome is its size, so you probably won't even feel that it's there!

Have fun!

Could I remove it after sports, but leave the velcro strips in place, so I could replace the dome the next time I play?

Yes! That's exactly how you can use them. Because the Velcro part that stays attached to your appliance is the felt part (not the hooks!), there's no risk of it catching on your clothes or anything like that.
