Hi,

What is the smallest bags out there for Ileostomy?

Not for daily use but for occasions when you want to not have the larger bag.

Thank you.

Depending on the brand, you can get anything from a stoma cap (not recommended for ileostomies) or 7" medium bags.

I can only recommend these smaller bags to an ileostomate IF they don't have a very active stoma or tend to have little output, as these smaller bags can fill up much faster due to their smaller size.

I've got a few photos of what these look like in this article: https://www.veganostomy.ca/guide-to-ostomy-pouches/

Hi,

I am thinking of getting the stoma cap by Coloplast as a sample.

One would think that with the number of ostomies that companies would provide more options as far as personal preferences go.

From what I have seen there are two or three basic colors beige, gray and clear, and just a couple bag shapes and sizes.

There are situations when my bag will show and I would prefer something that looks a little less medical device and a bit more......  I don't know what to call it not exactly stylish.

Again in the big scope of things not a big deal but one would think with the quantity of supplies one will use over our lifetimes we would have some options.

I know there are bag covers and belts one can wear but for me that is another layer and I am already wearing the Ostomy Armor and while hiking a hip pack to carry supplies.

:)

I think that colors are an area that really need to be improved upon. Salts in the UK has a beautiful black colorer bag that simply looks stunning up close. Beige and grey look like medical devices, and it would be nice if they looked more like a an article of clothing.

As for shape. Some brands (most, I think) offer quite a few sizes, but typically the same shape with a different style of outlet or no outlet at all.
