I just stumbled upon an Etsy seller who makes bathing suits for people with ostomies. It’s called MedDeal, and the bathing suit bottoms look really good. There are styles for men and women; different colours and the option of interior pocket or no pocket. It’s so hard to find a bathing suit that works well for ostomates. This maker has high waisted styles that won’t have your pouch falling out over the top. I know swimming season is almost over, but I’m already looking forward to next year! For some reason I don’t begin to comprehend, Etsy shipped my package to me, and it arrived (from Germany) in my city, and then Canada Post shipped it back. So Etsy asked me to confirm my address, and they shipped it back to me, only to have it returned to them again. Is it a full moon? Time warp? Mercury in retrograde? What the heck is going on? Anyway, I gave up and asked for a refund, which Etsy has processed today. Disappointing, but I’m not sure what else to do. The product looked really good.🙁 Darn! Laurie you should change to a wetsuit , I did and I intend to swim through the winter , the wetsuit holds the pouch securely and if you get a good wetsuit you barely get wet , I'm really enjoying the open water swimming at the moment , really good for clearing the head , who can tell with the postal services , they have a mind of there own , I ordered some Camomile tea for my wife from amazon and it was confiscated by our customs 3 times , the tea was labelled herbal camomile so I thing its in some lab being analysed in case its the other herb the wetsuit holds the pouch securely and if you get a good wetsuit you barely get wet , How does it handle sweat inside the wetsuit? I know with cycling, you can either be wet from rain, or wet from sweat, but you can't avoid both at the same time.🤣 no problem with sweat to be honest Eric , our sea water never freezes and the lowest it goes is about 8C , which is quite cool without a wetsuit , but there are lots who do inc my wife , I'm doing it because its good low impact exercise and my L3 is getting worn out and I need to strengthen my core .
