:( Well, to be fair, I wouldn't have put the blame on you, anyway. These liners are sold as flushable, and that's what you did. If it ends up being the cause, I'd let the liner company know about it. Good luck, though!! Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Thanks 🤗 Still feel a little guilty, dumb. I'll post the finale when it's over! I'd be real surprised if the snake can't rip thru bag liners. they can cut thru tree roots. 70ft and still in the house? sounds like a big house. the snake teeth should have picked up some plastic if it in fact hit a ball of bag liners. Well, the landlord arrived to have a squint at it herself. She said "it will be fixed, you know me" (why do people like her think so highly of themselves?) Plumber returned with a new plan, a bigger snake or both. Sawed open the wall behind the toilet, went for the clog straight through the pipe and voilà, all fixed. No cause was determined or even discussed, and I'm good with that 🙄 Not putting the liners down there anymore, though. Now, I wonder how long it will take to seal up the wall. Thanks for the update, Meehnan. Wow, what an ordeal. Maybe it's better that a cause was never determined... just in case. 😬😉 Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Thanks, dodged that bullet 😁👍🏻 I am a Colorectal stage3 cancer survivor and a ostomate for nearly a decade and having been using the Colomagic bags from almost that time. Last few years I have stopped using them as I found easier cheaper method to empty my Hollister 2 piece pouch system to easily control with food waste output. As the prices of colomagic has doubled. I thought of this alternative. But the experience with Colomagic has been very good as it helped me with my extensive travel to all the 3 continent's, a very hygienic, clean environmental friendly, Take out and flush it and put another one in , I used to keep some pouches already filled with these liner for emergency change over. Recently I tried my old stock Colomagic liners it got broken and degraded as soon as my stools come out and when I tried to remove it, it had torn into small pieces. So this is biodegradable for sure and I see that because it is few years old stock. So VeganOstomy I had the same thoughts and I had done the experiment of putting in water when they were new for me at that time they were not brittle after some days, what you experienced was no change, your video demo showed that. So when I did some research at that time and I knew that it takes some time, so since that did not bother much. But during that time they were not biodegradable but flushable as per their claims at that time, after that they improved a lot the shiny plastic and pin holes I used to make had gone. Now they look and feel good. My friend who is an expert plastic engineer also did some research after I had mentioned about BASF material which I had found out at that time. So he told me it is a very good material companies are trying to develop not for Ostomates but there is a huge market to replace baby diapers. That time he was talking in terms of billions liners needed. I am confident it will be soon be there, someone is going to challenge the big monopoly of this big corporates. When I experience this breaking and tearing experience, I thought let me get some standby inventory, I found Colomagic was very expensive almost .60 cents to .75 cents a piece, It is too expensive to put shit and throw it. So I started exploring and just today I got a bag of Attiva as I don't know much about it, for Colomagic it is a FDA approved product. So I started my exploration and I bumped into this article. So I decided to share my experiences. I am a strong believer of saving the environment so I found better environment friendly methods with less waste creating methods recycling, reuse as much as possible .I had to write a nasty email to the distributors of Colomagic as they were purposely not providing the liners as they would loose business. Thanks VeganOstomy Great info, Bimal! Thank you for sharing that. I wasn't aware of the dramatic increase in price for the Colomajic liners, but seeing how everything has been going up in price, it doesn't surprise me! Best of luck with everything. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate.
