Has anyone else been prescribed Humira? I have been using it for over a year. Of course, there was a long list of potential problems caused by using Humira. I was just cleaning up my email and read a standard follow up email from my Humira Ambassador. It talked about possible side effects and basal cell skin cancer was one of the risks. That is what I had removed last week from my face. Has anyone else using Humira, or other biologic, experienced any of the possible side effects? -Liza Hi Liza, I started Stelara last November, and so far have not noticed any side effects. Hoping it stays that way! Both have quite a list. Kevin Dieffenbach I was on it for a short time during a clinical trial. Since I didn't end up working for me, that was the end of the story. I wouldn't have even known if it caused side effects as I was still experiencing major side-effects from the steroids I was on before it. Generally speaking, when it comes to risks with biologics, they tend to happen far more often when used with immunosuppressants - so much so that it may actually be the immunosuppressant causing the risks, and not necessarily the biologic. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate.
