Speaking of seal rings: I tried the procetive ones (u all were talking about) that I received as samples. The thin one really puffed out..!!!!!!!!!! Got pancaked and was able to hold on for a few hours and took a bath and gave Nellie a new dress.. As I did last night/morning--this time at 3 am-I put on the procetive thin new seal on)  Anyone feel that they swell/puff out more that the Ekin seals? Do u find that u can go longer with a known leak? I pancaked at infusion -- (did a lot of walking and sat on the throne for it to pass-don't know if I pancaked so bad that IT puffed/swelled so much or this helped the leak to stay put longer and didn't have to change right away????????? ANY ONE?? I now have the thick size on and only used half and just sealed the opening.. shall see what happens to night/morning huh? let u know.. It sure didn't let the pancaking slide down like they said it would..  Maybe it was a bump in the road type of thing? Skin friendly tho--- 2014 - 3 strangulations of colon, Ulcerative colitis, removal of colon, illiostomcy named woooh Nellie.. Just received my sample of what was supposed to be CONVEC Wafer, since my stoma is short and poo cant get up and over the snap on ring.  Question is; did I see somewhere a clear plastic insert that goes inside the wafer to fill space so my stoma wont always catch crap? If so where and whats the name of that? I haven't gone to a medical supply place or ordered online as of yet, since I am trying to learn what exactly I need. Mary As I have said before, I am using ConvaTec brand of wafers/bags... Home health nurse ordered a free sample box from Hollister. They called today, I was told that Hollister is the highest ones out there... I have NO prices on either brand.  I have Medicare only and need to place order with someone who will deliver monthly. Can some of u give me prices?  Prices? that s a hard one- I am on medicare also--- My supplier is: Byram healthcare USA. Phone # 1-877-902-9726.. I thin they gave me some prices- but that is not their common advisory------- The suppliers or makes such as coloplast- Hollister etc. don't give out prices..  I think that Eric has a blog on this-but remember prices change-- THe important thing is get what YOU like.. Byrum is world wide to most anyway.. they carry just about anything.. I am pleased with them.. helpful--If u want to save a few dollars and drive yourself crazy? get into the internet-- but see Eric's blog on this first, and he even have the phone numbers.. Bryam delivers monthly-- I have even done 6 weeks orders..as, some pouches come in 10 per box-and 20 per box. they wont do halves.. Coloplast I like much-- the mio sometimes gives me a rash- so I go between that and their 2 piece easy close-Velcro--hate the clips-they fall into toilet.. and pinch YOU too!! and snap off- the clips are cheeper- but then they get you in price as u have to order extra clips--the eaiser the better !!! good luck!! Marcie.. 2014 - 3 strangulations of colon, Ulcerative colitis, removal of colon, illiostomcy named woooh Nellie.. I needed to talk to the person selling me my equipment, so I am doing business with my WOCN who works for a supplier. I tried mail order but it would not work for me . Of course, I am in a big city. Most people don't have my choice. Parthenon gives out prices. Do they do Medicare? I don't know what the cost of the Ostomy equipment is, as Medicare and medigap cover it for me. I hope that you have financial peace of mind, too. More later.  Prices, at least here in Canada, are dramatically different depending on where you shop. Hollister is expensive, but not the most expensive. It's the convex wafers that are really expensive. And two piece convex appliances are perhaps the most expensive you can get over here. Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate. Mary I like Marcie use Byram n I use Hollister products also n I am on Medicare . I have a Byram catalog but like you said it doesn't give prices . Here are some numbers maybe they can be of help to you .  Byram call in an order 1-877-902-9726 online www.byramhealthcare.com Here is one for Parthenon in Nashville Tn. 37203 615-342-1400 Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis Like going to a fancy restaurant, NO PRICES.. or prices may change due to seasons. SURPRISE!!!!!! I am on medicare and a supplement insurance, I pay NOTHING.. but then again, We are paying over 5,000 $ yearly for my insurance.. I also have infusions too- besides, one trip in an ambulance cost about what we pay.. Then the ER? etc..... THere is no cheep way out of this.. no sales either.. IF there is a support group near you join it and they can help you-- People (like me)get what is coming to me, so I am over loaded with M9 pouch deorants, (45$) per bottle.. etc...And we are ready for anyone that is running out-a notice goes out--and we give what we can for the pouches.. Let me know where u live, and I can find a group for you.. I have a list of the USA............ :-) I just bring in my extras as some cant afford the M9 deorants etc. things like that- A few seal rings-- bla bal bal...... 2014 - 3 strangulations of colon, Ulcerative colitis, removal of colon, illiostomcy named woooh Nellie..
