I bought Bubbles a house . A stoma guard that is . After watching many videos and reviews I went with Eric's video on Resolution Stoma Guard . I have been smashing Bubbles when I  sit in my recliner with pillows on my tummy to prop up my table . Also my pants waist line was hurting her . Seat belts are no longer a problem 👍🏼. So only the best for my baby girl . Bubbles got a house . Check out video . Why do people get a stoma guard?   to help pancaking? what kind of injuries can a stoma get? 2014 - 3 strangulations of colon, Ulcerative colitis, removal of colon, illiostomcy named woooh Nellie.. Why do people get a stoma guard?   to help pancaking? what kind of injuries can a stoma get? Bubbles is very sensitive and when I have heavy blankets or pillows on her it hurts . Maybe because she is new only 2 .5 months old . My pants waist band rubs on her too. Hopefully as time passes she won't be so sensitive . Ya, she is new... Don't wear panties to bed.. 2014 - 3 strangulations of colon, Ulcerative colitis, removal of colon, illiostomcy named woooh Nellie.. Hi Bubbles, a stoma guard is a great bit of kit to have from protection to more clothes options. ileostomy 31st August 1994 for Crohns Hi Bubbles . I had same issue for awhile they cut me open for surgery plus the orthoscopic holes so my scar was tender for a long time . If they did something like that to you it could be some of the soreness being caused it will get better in time . Proctectomy , Ileostomy , Ulcerative Colitis I thought I would tell you about my stoma guard adventure. Unfortunately I researched and bought one before reading Eric's piece about them  in the end I went with the StomaProtector. It consists of 3 parts. The first is the backing piece. It is roughly 4 inches square with a hole in the center. One side is a very nice smooth material that touches my skin, the other is Velcro. The pouch goes through the hole in the middle and on a coloplast SenSura Mio the backing piece fits under the flexible portion of the wafer. The other two pieces are the guards and you choose the one that fits with the activities you are doing. The first of them is also about 4 inches square and the center is cut ,like an upside down "U". This one sits a bit taller than what my stoma extends above skin level so it protects my stoma. It sticks to the backing plate with Velcro. The upside down "U" directs my output down into the pouch. I find that it protects my stoma, from seatbelts and other things that cross over my stoma. I am able to sleep with it on (I have always slept on my left side) and it has virtually eliminated the pancaking i had every night. The second guard consists of the same upside down "U"' but has another hard piece that has what i would call a speed bump over it. My stoma fits directly under the bump so gets major protection from rubbing or impact. This guard would be used while doing strenuous activities like playing Rugby.  The StomaProtector also has no belt which is good for me I hate wearing multiple belts. Since it is hooked to the wafer and i wear it under my knickers (don't you just love the British word for panties ?) It doesn't need a belt. I wear regular microfiber underwear. All in all I would feel comfortable recommending it to anyone. Also Brendan, the manufacturer of the guard bent over backwards to help. He does not have access to the Coloplast SanSura mio so he needed more measurements than what he had. He made new backing plates for me and had them in the mail to me within 48 hours ... great service and he didn't charge anything extra.
