I'm curious to know if any of you have used activated charcoal to help reduce gas.

I've heard anecdotally that it helps, but the science on this suggests otherwise.

I'm interested in knowing what your experience has been. I've used it myself with no luck.

I have never tried activated charcoal (  like you noted the reports  don't suggest it helps).

Has any one tried any of the simethicone based products ( like Gas X) ?

I have. It doesn't get rid of gas, but it makes it easier to pass and has helped with gas pains in the past (before my stoma).
