Crohn's and Colitis Canada has just put out a great presentation about IBD and COVID-19. Well worth the watch, even if you don't have IBD:

Nice! Thanks for the heads up. I'll come back to watch later. I just got my booster &  must say though a few family  have had small  reactions,  I was really prepared for a bad reaction! Imagine my surprise when I have had only a small area of a sore arm to deal with! Not even worth the tylenol! Lol! I am so pleased with my bodies reaction to the vaccines.

I'll admit I almost scrapped the need of the booster but decided I better finish what I started to get the full on protection from the vaccinations. I'm not sure I'd have much of a chance of survival with a bad case of Covid19 in any variant with my Health the way it is.  Should my organs shut down, which is a painful process,  I also would not want to be kept alive on a ventilator. Give it to someone who can make a difference for good for others in this cranky but beautiful  world.

The video said the vaccine worked almost perfectly?  What were you told in canada?

What does perfectly mean?

In the US the center for disease control, CDC, acknowledged having no vaccine but prior infection from covid was better protection than vaccine with Delta if you hadn't been infected before.   Of course we were also told a shot would give you 100% protection.    I could go on, lots of contradictions IF you paid attention.

I myself may have had covid 3 times since the beginning, no vaccine, no bed ridden sickness. A typical flu bug for many people in my area.

The video said the vaccine worked almost perfectly?

He corrected that by follow up with "90% effective at controlling infection and preventing infection for the wild type alpha and delta", which is correct.

I think at one point, some places were seeing like 98% of people who ended up in hospital with COVID were those who were unvaccinated, so there's no doubt that vaccines worked back then.

Omicron took our progress back quite a bit, unfortunately, but vaccines have still been keeping people out of the hospital and ICU.

I didn't get vaccinated to protect myself, per se, but those who are more vulnerable around me. Since COVID can affect people differently, I don't take chances with it.
