Pretty much C Dif is an opportunistic infection. When our gut flora is disrupted (like antibiotic use) it seizes the chance to flourish. As we all in some way or another have abnormal gut conditions due to our illnesses we are prone to becoming infected by it. Once you've had it it is easier for it to gain a toehold and flourish again, it can encapsulate itself and hang around even outside the body.

Thanks for the reading...... Kinda scarry-- My surgeon, a few weeks ago said that I had this also (as I asked-'cause I had everything else going on in there)  I had so many infections.. No wonder I went into a  long comma.. My poor body just got hit fast and hard- The brain just gave up went into a long rest period. think I was lucky--my body fought hard and I was out of  it...... Well, Felicity, your experienced and well read, so your in charge of safty measures in a few weeks.. I would be........ To much can go hay wire... Because they are very potent and outside the norm for pain meds with all that I had going on. You know the gov't suits monitor how they prescribe. If the suits don't agree the Doc can get reprimanded.  The scariest 10 words in our language "I'm from the government and I am here to help!"

Here in the UK we have civil servants. they are not civil and do not serve

Marci e I'm gonna have to try that like Barbara said real men eat Quiche right ? I gotta try it . I don't like onion but I love French onion soup figure that out . Ha . Dill pickles like corn on the cob huh I do like dill pickles thou . Cold snap till March ... Still wearing shorts here 84 degrees here today gets cold at night thou all the way down to low 60's haha . Now Donna lives wear the weather is always nice even better than here .

Seriously???? Everything is frozen here. As far as my dizzy wise, I am doing well. Still bussing in head, but I have tad that as of my illness 3 1/2 years ago..  What ever----------- Dr. said if it continues I am to go to special Dr. and have a scan on my brain.. NOT !!!  I went through much back then, things need time to get back to normal,, Like I will not be NORMAL again.. The puff puff puff Puff is still going on-but down to a puff puff.. "-) To cold outside. 

Onion soup is great if u make right and with love.. Send u my recipe of Quiche:

Quiche" 9 " pie crust.  3/4 pound of bacon cooked well - crumbled ***break off the fats.**

1 1/2 pounds of GOOD swiss cheese very crumbled. add this to

1 Tablespoon of flour and 1 table spoon of corn starch, 1 teaspoon of salt, fluff in bowl

In another bowl,3 eggs well beaten, 1 3/4 cup of milk and a few dashes of tabasco/hot sauce

Combine and fill 9 " pie crust..

Bake @ 365 uncovered for the first hour..or so, until puffed up and browned..  May take about 1- 1/2 hours depending.. on puffed up..  I always use foil around the edges of crust for non burning. Sometimes I have had this in the oven for 2 hours.. Clear knife it is done.. Enjoy! M.

For got!!! put the COOKED crumbled bacon folded in  :-) Just stir it all up and you will be delighted.. M.

Felicity, When I saw my surgeon last week, I asked if I had C-Diff- She said yes. I was a mess. With all your information, I am very concerned about this as I can get it easily AGAIN.. Thank you for all the information!! I am now alert!  

Bad pain is bad pain- I am sure that they would have given you these if you needed them-- Slowly at a time anyways.. I was under heavy pain meds right from the start-- slowly, and worked it up to when I was not in pain..  Glad your home.. 

Robert, u have to put the pie crust IN a 9 inch pie plate.. :+)
