Hey fellow ostomatesΒ  , I purchased a comfortbelt size 5 recently and there was some minor faults with it , I mentioned it to the company and they sent me a replacement , not the thing is that I don't really need the second one because I have developed a parastomal hernia and I'm mostly using the comfizz support belt now , anyway does anybody want a still sealed size 5 comfortbelt ?, I will post it anywhere , I just hate to see it unused and its gathering dust already .

I was there 1.5 hours . Β I almost pooped my pants from the bill but remembered I can't do that anymore . In my next life I am coming back as a Dentist .

Yes, it is expensive to keep your teeth-- BUT I advise u to keep them!!!Β  I made dentures, and patients hate them-- I was always adjusting them.. Glad u had a nice experience-- Now, don't drink that W/Z .!! Or u will say "woops! I should have had a V-8"!!!Β commercial remember that one?

Gezzzzzzzz? about 2,000 for a rt. canal now huh? o u have to go back again? mostly u do to seal it off completely-- Then the Perm. cap later on but don't wait over a year--as this tooth is now dead, it will fall apart so a cap is needed- the temp. cap will not hold proberly.. Open that wallet more my dear!!!! Β Β

I will be over in a few minutes.. And I will drink the White Z.Β  !!!!!!!!Β

The teeth are another reason for not taking prednisone. I now have Dentures I only have six of my original teeth left the 6 right in the front on the top. And the dentist told me that probably the reason was that prednisone and get a number on my my teeth and just really screw them up. So again stay away from that prednisone if you can

With me the prednisone is to treat my rheumatoid arthritis. When my joints are swollen and very painful the prednisone helps treat the pain and swelling.Β  It also affects my hair which is weird.Β  My hair is normally straight but when on higher doses of pred, it gets very curly.Β  It also affects my finger nails. They can get very brittle.

I have been doing a lot of thinking since Dr Juvalier visited this afternoon.Β  He gave me a choice of going home or staying a couple of days. He said treatment would be different as I wouldn't be on IV meds, but oral.Β  I asked what he would do and he said stay because there is a better chance of getting back to what is my normal in a shorter time.Β  So I decided to put on my big girl panties and stay a bit longer.Β  Then he said something that surprised me.Β  He told me that he doesn't think he would make it through all that has been thrown at me. He found it amazing that I can still laugh at things and be upbeat.Β  I have never thought of it that way. When another thing comes along, it is a feeling of just toss it on the pile and move on.Β  Β There are 2 things that have hit me hard and knocked me down for a while.Β  The first was when my rheumatologist confirmed that I have rheumatoid arthritis.Β  Β At the same time he told me that RA is a terminal disease and that IΒ  now know what I will die from ... RA or something caused by it.Β  The second was diverticulitis and the associated surgery, stoma, appliance, pouch etc. With that i have reached higher daily levels of pain ... still not sure i can handle that. Pain significantly impacts my personality.Β  And just the violent alterations to my body have made me mourn as I have done when a loved one dies.Β

Well sorry to have subjected you to my rant, but it helps me so much to be able to honestly tell someone who understands things, and to release them rather than hide them.

For what it's worth, we are with you.
Each of us has a long history of aches and pains. If talking about it helps you, then we know enough to understand what you are saying and feeling.
We all need to take the next step forward. We help each other by keeping our balance. One foot in front of the other, one step at a time.

You are absolutely right and I know it. Struggling a bit today, ended up having a pity party. Appreciate you guys listen to the rambling venting. I know too, that we all have been through our own personal hell. It seems that when I do start feeling sorry for me, someone crops up that is way worse off than me and I feel guilty for having the pity party ... and besides that the drinks and snacks at that party just aren't up to snuff, so what's the point.Β  Putting my armour back on and going out to slay the dragonsΒ

Hi Tony,

What a lovely offer..

Not sure if you've already given it away, but my 23 old son would love the comfort belt! When you say it's a Size 5... what are the actual measurements?

Many Thanks

On some rare days i make good choices. I am slowly learning to pay attention to my body and to go in the direction it demands.Β  Have learned through sad experience that to go my way usually ends in a fiasco.Β
