Hi Folks, Its nearly a year since I found Vegan Ostomy, and I wasn't even looking for it! It took me a couple of weeks to join and just before I did I sent Eric an email. In his reply he asked what drew an ostomate of 24 years to the site. I think the term he used was "veteran" did he mean "old" (cheeky young pup) :-)  Well the fact was even though I had lived most of my life with a stoma their was a number of advantages. Support form like minded people, information in one place about new products, interviews with groups, individuals and feed back on conferences which I would never know existed. and the chance to see another member post a problem which I could help with. Just a few things as the list is just to long to post. And no matter what I thought I knew and how good a life I have been living with the stoma my ostomy experience has improved. Also I have the ostomy buddies around the World when I only knew a handful of people with one!! This post is my follow on to Eric, s post on his own problems, a chance to give back a small turn for what he has done a chance to reassure and support. I have got over the shock of being called "old" lol. so as they say over here "Keep er lit" :-)

In the midst of my High Holy Holiday season, I want to wish you all, my friends,  a wonderful, happy , healthy , pain free, leak free New Year.

I specifically want to THANK Eric for being who he is and for what he does. You are possibly the finest example of a MENTCH that I know.

( A MENTCH , for those who don't know, is 4 levels higher than a gentleman. )

Keep on keeping on.

Z

John,

Congratulations on your one year anniversary with VO! You and Eric both have been such an inspiration to me. I have learned so much in the short time I've been on this forum.  Your encouragement and advice have been so valuable.

Though I may sound like a Pollyanna, there have been times when I've felt discouraged or looked at my "new body" and felt grief. But you and Eric have been so supportive and helpful that I do realize that I am not alone in all this.

While I am at it - all those I have "met" here have also been a great support to me.

God bless you all!

Stella

Congrats John!  I am also marking marking my first anniversary here. I can not say enough what a difference you, Eric, have made in my life. I did not know people talked about these things and the issues we deal with on a daily basis. From the bottom of my heart...ERIC... Thank You a million times over for having the insight, and knowledge into putting all this information and videos together. You are making a huge difference in the life of so many on a daily basis and continue to do so.  I came across the site be accident and I knew immediately that I needed this in my life. It is easy to get around here and to understand the information you give. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Linda
