My "z" That is to bad.. Got to duck and hope for the best at night huh? Stay safe !!!!!!!!!!!! I did see something on the news last week--but those Calif. fires are taking up a lot of news room lately.. As I was living in Fl. I noticed in these hot sandy areas, the bushes have a thick oily substance to them.. And I think that is why fires get out of control so fast--never mind the wind. The wind is a bi problem--Every time they get a fire, The winds pick up.. Sad.

The murders are mostly drug related and stay in the other neighborhoods .

In my neighborhood,  we Orthodox Jews banded together to create a citizens patrol that is the model for other cities. We are a very highly organized community. One of the benefits of living here.

Not to sound boastful,  we have a group of friends who provide kosher food to the hospitals. I deliver 5-6times a week to JHH. This way,  I am paying forward for the way the community helped my family,  when I was really in a bad situation.

We look out for each other.

I'm not ready to tell the "pass ot on" story yet. My wife wants to go out tonight and is tapping her toe.

Later.

"z" How wonderful!!!   Sounds  like a nice community you have..  I have heard of your citizens patrol....... In Baltimore.  We have one of this type in Harford.  I love the delivering of food tho.  It is a good kosher for those that depend on re: religions.

I know how to tap my toes too......... :-) Then he comes out with such an outfit as if he is going to the paint store..... :-(  Then my pointed finger towards the bedroom =  for a change..

Z, that is really cool that you guys can take care of your yourself that way. And be able to hold to your beliefs and that is important at a time like this.

Looks like we here in Ct. will have a white Christmas!!!  5-8 inches of snow all day long.. That means that one son will be plowing-his second job- so proberly wont see him until after 2 am.. Tuesday--:-( --So, my first Christmas holiday with my whole family in over 20 years wont happen.. --- But sitting in front of the fire and watch the snow and playing Christmas music will be nice and .. but the other son (the cook) will be here.. Makes 3 of us..

Having snow tonight and ice storm into Saturday, so my trip to club med will prove interesting..

But like Mark Twain said  "If you don't like New England weather? wait a minute" :-)

My pain on the right side is getting worse--but I just wont do the hospital routine until next year. ???   Not stabbing yet. This is the week of no hospital for a whole year-and I promised myself to keep it that way.. Besides we all still have Barbara in there.. :-(

Funny:  A big tree limb fell down into our street across from me with this  ice storm.  I called to have it removed.  The cops came out, My son just came home and the cops said it was to heavy for them to move. So Matt picked the end of it up and moved it out of the road. :-) Needless to say, they were impressed of his strength. Said that they will call on him for future issues of this.. They thanked them. One job done for them..

Naa.  He (Matt) is just of Swedish power ball.  Built well within height and weight.. 5'11, 185..pounds-??, the younger one is 6'6" 195 pounds-? ??  But Matt came to me last night wanting a heating pad as he hurt his back doing the tree routine as a friendly neighbor.. I don't know who he lifted that sucker!! And of course no than you's.. We give from the heart in my house.  Do good to others in need, don't expect anything in return..

When Myneighbors house burned down a few years ago, I opened  my home to them.  I got all their information of insurance etc. and got them a nice hotel room near by, I wanted something not hotel-drafty-something homey--"Homewood suiets(sp) when I talked with their insurance ageant.. They loved it!!!!!!! For months on end, I had cookies, coffee, etc. for them when they were re-building.. Even my phone... They plugged in their new phones, and let them use my car.. As it was winter....... My home was open un-locked.. for them.. never a thank you !!!!!!! That bothered me a bit-(2 words) but,  I heard people in the neighbor hood, say they couldn't have done it without Marcie" so that was nice. :-)  like your father, I thought of what was important first, and talked with them of what they wanted me to do right away.. And, I did it... M.

Congratulations to Robert and wife on the successful completion of their 35th year of marriage building.

The next 35 should be easier now that you ironed out the kinks and sanded the rough edges.

May you continue to be blessed and to be an excellent example of how to live your life.

2 years ago at Whitworth Community Church where I work. Or worked until I retired took a big hit from a couple of big wind storms that we had. When you add a large stand of Pine Forest and stir into it a 75 or 80 mile an hour winds you find yourself with a logging yard. It started off in March we had three big trees that fell through the roof of our community center building so they had to redo all of that and we were not allowed to go in the room while it was being worked on. A couple of months later two more trees went through the roof covering the chapel and a teaching room that we have and took them out of business. So there we were with no place to meet lots of trees on the ground and what we ended up doing was we rented a big huge white tent I'm sure you've seen him at garage. Garage sales but parking lot sales. It was white plastic and had funny-looking Cathedral type windows on them round at the top and pieces of wood to make the the pane. We held tent meetings for the first next five and a half months I should say and it actually turned out to be a lot of fun while we did it the weather was pretty decent. Couple of days when it rained kind of hard and we stood around trying to figure out what to do but all in all it was interesting. If you Google Whitworth University and that's Whitworth in Spokane you'll see some outdoor pictures and I'm in a lot of them you can see how the campus is set in a in an actually very large Forest big huge trees that are all probably 50 to 70 feet high and some of them are so big around that I can't put my arms around you got to look for a hug where you can get it you know. For about 3 days after the Trees of Plum down everybody had gotten been out there with logging equipment and they were cutting the trees up and stacking them and everything like that and it was like work walking into a huge foresting set up up in the mountains but I finally got it done and we got back into our church in the church look nice somebody said if you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes and it will change. But here in Spokane are weather does exactly what the opposite is of what the weatherman says it will be next so you just have to stay three steps ahead of the weather man and you're close to what the weather is going to be. Well I've got to get back in bed I'm absolutely exhausted again but there is good news I'll share that out a different Post in a few minutes have a Merry Christmas
