Hi all, I just signed up for this forum. I thought I would add another solution to cheap ostomy wraps.

I have a temporary ileostomy so I don't want to spend a lot of money. I came up with a simple and cheap solution for a wrap soon after surgery.  It's simple.  Take a pair of Depend (tm) disposable underwear and cut off the pad. That's it! Now you have a simple wrap. If you get a leak, you can cut it off and toss it away.  I find wearing it with the black dot to the front works best.

Crafty! My cheap go-to solution for ostomy wraps are "belly bands" you can find at Walmart under various names. They are like a few dollars and help to conceal the bag - but will not prevent the bottom from showing as the bag fills. The inner pocket of ostomy wraps is why I like them!

Just your friendly neighborhood ostomate.

I have really taken to compression t-shirts. I still wear the Coloplast 1 inch belt but like the feeling of the compression t-shirt. It keeps my urostomy bag snug against my body and conceals pretty well. The specialty concealment belts and wraps tend to keep riding up on me because of my lower torso shape. I was able to find the Academy Sports brand (BCG) to be very affordable. The big brand names can be expensive to own a supply of them.
