Instead of breaking out soap and water during a change does anyone have any experience using Perineal Stoma/Skin cleaners?  They are pretty cheap, it was $3.65 for 8oz so that's not bad at all...The instructions say to spray it on and there is no need to wipe it off, so I am just looking for feedback good or bad.  Thanks in advance!

I haven't used them personally, but as long as your skin is dry and they don't leave a residue, I see no harm.

I tend to be in the "less is more" camp, so it's either plain water or water with soap during a shower for me.

I tend to always have a shower when I change my bag, my stoma seems to love a bath. But this product sounds really great for those unscheduled ( emergency) changes or when traveling and unable to get to a shower ( or even water).  Looks worth a try.

I just used pure water around my stoma, never had any problems.

I've used several different kinds and types of cleaner/wipes to prep my skin for the base plate. Right now I'm using Skin Tac and it works great for my needs, and the Tac Away to clean up the residue and adhesive left behind.  No skin issues, actually has helped reduced redness from wearing a base plate. I often take a shower as well, but use the Skin Tac to prep for a better secured base plate...   hope this helps.
