Hey guys,

Some of you may have already noticed that the login screen might look different.

I've decided to revert back to the forum's original registration and login pages for a few reasons:

a) The third-party software I was using ONLY for the registration and login forms is up for renewal and would cost close to CDN$200. Since the forum does not generate any revenue (i.e. no ads), I had to really think about whether I wanted to spend that kind of money for a second year.

b) The forum software has included updates to make the native forum login and registration pages more fluid and seamless, which I think we can all benefit from. This reduces the need for the third-party solution I was using.

c) It gives me less stuff to worry about. Since I manage every aspect of this website and the forums, having one less thing to worry about is always welcome, and managing a third-party login/registration system is not ideal (even though it offered a lot of flexibility).

So... there shouldn't be any issues with the new system, but if you do have trouble logging in, registering or even retrieving a forgotten forum password, let me know by posting it in the forum Bug Report section (assuming you can log in!) or by contacting me directly.

Enjoy!

Eric
